Yep, the parking garage flood victim seemed to be actually parked exactly where and in a way you are supposed to park in those, seemed to be nicely between the lines and all, so maybe a little bit mean towards that car owner to include his bad luck in a video of "bad parking". And the car the bull attacked... okay, a bit stupid to leave your car in that spot, if it was a bull run or something similar and they knew beforehand there would be bulls, but there were other cars parked on the same street so also bad luck. Fixing that damage probably ended with a pretty big bill. But the occupants seem to have been safe enough. The sinkhole - again just damn bad luck, but not bad parking because how could they have known there was one under the asphalt? So yep. Bad parking and bad luck parking?

When a fire hose is pressurized there is a limit to how much it can be bent before the flow of water gets cut off, depending on the size of the hose. The fire fighters did what they had to do in order to get the hose hooked up and keep the water flowing. So the fire hose through the window was entirely called for because stopping another persons property from burning down to the ground is more important than the windows of some entitled, self important, above the law putz's car windows. Those windows will be a whole lot cheaper to replace than someone's house. And the car owner will hopefully learn that they are not near as important as they think they are.

Someone at my college who kept deliberately parking poorly (not in an actual spot) and blocking people in came back to a cut tire valve stem. After that he decided taking the extra 10 seconds to park in an actual parking space was worth it. Remember, kids: tampering with a valve stem is minimum financial impact (around 8 cents if you just remove the core, or $10 for the whole stem) but MAXIMUM inconvenience, since they HAVE to change the tire. And if you have a valve stem core remover, you can put them on their way to a flat tire in just 10-15 seconds.

Many years ago, I drove a Backhoe as part of my job. We were putting in a sewer line and for several days before construction started, we had signs out that said no parking. But when we went there to do the job, a pickup truck was parked exactly in the way. I picked it up, moved it to the side, dug the 8-foot-deep trench, and put the pickup truck back where it had been parked... straddling the hole. When we returned the next day, the truck was gone. He probably got a crane to remove it. hahahaha

There's stupidity and stupidity. My father was clearing snow off the parking for a shopping center. He was in a rather big machine, a wheel loader where the front wheels were about two yards high with warninglights running and everything. So he scoops up a lot of snow and drives up into huge pile of snow to dump the scoop over the end of it so he could stash more snow there. Then he steps on the clutch, the loader rolls a meter back and he feels something crunch. So he puts it in neutral and step out to see what just happened. Between the back wheels there's a Fiat with a panicked lady behind the wheel. She had driven up behind the loader intending to park there. From the drivers seat in the loader you couldn't even see the car behind it, so small was that Fiat. The company's insurance payed for the car. It just wasn't worth the effort to protest was what they said to my father. That loader was the first thing I ever drove, and I think I was twelve the first time I got to drive it. It was a very reliable and powerful machine as long as you kept in mind that you had no idea what happened immediately behind it. Interesting as it drove just as fast forward as backwards. At first backing up was an adventure but pretty soon just the mirrors were enough for driving it backwards. But I always remembered that Fiat and made sure that didn't happen to me.

Incredible strength in the horn/skull to be able to handle such loads.

@17:39 I've parked like the Humvee! Guy where I lived parked over the line. I pulled up and backed in, keeping my little truck next to the curb without hitting it. When the guy finally came out, he had to crawl in on his passenger side. He didn't park stupid after that.

Why would you have a 'No Back-In Parking' rule? It's easier to park back-in and it's easier and SAFER to leave when you're done...but they must have a reason for the rule.

I and my sister have had both our cars sideswiped by inept back-in parkers. Who wants to park between two driver side doors?
@wownewstome61233 ай бұрын
@@raylewis2121 I agree with you regarding between two driver side doors.
@wownewstome61233 ай бұрын
I can think of several reasons. 1, in the US, driver's will stop very close to your rear bumper, not realizing you intend on backing in...so not allowing you enough room to back in. 2, drivers go much slower backing in, so cars 'pile up' waiting. 3, police need to see back license plate (some states don't require a second license plate on the front). 4, if a parking permit sticker is required inside the rear window, security needs to be able to spot them while driving by vs getting out and walking behind to look.
@wownewstome61233 ай бұрын
I watched a driver back in in a parking garage......hitting the support column with the rear bumper. This is an assigned parking space they park in DAILY!

A little more context on these would make this 10 times better

Yeah, i feel like the one where the lady has a parking block placed on her car could very well be illegal without any context. A civilian cannot do that just because they dont like how you parked, that's very much illegal.

Why T F would you forbid back-in parking? In a country where nobody knows how to properly park their car?
@jpdemer53 ай бұрын
Where cars only have rear plates.
@nan78613 ай бұрын
It’s probably a city-owned parking garage, which is patrolled by the city police. No back-in parking makes it easy for the cops to check for expired plates.
@wownewstome61233 ай бұрын
In some cases, you put a special sticker inside your rear window showing you have the right to park in that parking garage or lot. Personnel can drive through quickly to verify cars have the sticker.
@wownewstome61233 ай бұрын
Most people can park quicker by driving in directly vs backing in, meaning they won't block traffic. I watch someone back in....and hit the garage's support column with their rear bumper!

I had a woman slam her Escalade door into my legally parked car, not once but e 3 times. "You dented my car door." "So?" I used some old webbing to secure her passenger side exterior mirror to a tree parked in front of her car. An hour or so later, I heard a blood curdling scream. Her mirror and part of her quarter panel was destroyed. I waited a few minutes and walked out. "Gee, what happened?"
