Have you heard of your vagus nerve? It's a nerve that connects your brain to your gut and is in charge of (1) making sure your organs are doing ok (2) turning on your body's anti-stress parasympathetic nervous system response. Try this 10 minute routine to activate your vagus nerve to jumpstart your anti-stress response.

WHAT IS BRAIN EDUCATION TV?
Brain Education TV provides mental health and mental wellness videos to help young adults with loneliness, depression, and anxiety. The foundation of our content comes from Brain Education, an academic study from South Korea that stems from over 40 years of research and application and has been practiced by millions around the world.
WHY WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH…
We suffered from high-functioning loneliness and depression our whole lives. We lived different lives in different states, but when we met, we realized we were struggling with common issues that reflected an important problem in our young adult generation. We didn’t know who we were, what we were passionate about, what we should live for, and what direction our lives were “supposed” to go. We spent a lot of time wandering in search of that magical ‘answer’ that will solve all problems (like I’m sure most of you are doing right now), and yet the further we searched outside, the more pronounced the emptiness inside of us felt.
Millions of people suffer silently from mental health related issues. Yet our society still places taboos around openly talking about relevant mental health topics like loneliness, depression, and anxiety. As a result, our young adults don’t know how to talk about it constructively, where to turn to, or what resources they have to combat this real-life threat to their wellbeing.
We credit Brain Education for giving us the courage to overcome our own mental health struggles and create the lives we want...and now we hope you can too through the videos we share on this channel.

Clearly, you were looking in the windows of my childhood. It took me decades to admit to myself I’d been abused. It was just a few months ago that I was able to wrap my head around the idea (FACT) that my mom is a narcissist. I’m 60 years old. I’m finally finding my way to a sovereign Self. I immediately felt an expansion of my chest when I stuck my fingers into my BB --NO time for a warm up! This is super awesome! I'll be doing this multiple times per day to build up MEMORY in my body so that I stay in parasympathetic state more often. Thank you so much!!!

@CorePathway
@CorePathway Жыл бұрын
@@SuperCkram you can’t just make a statement like this without providing context or resources to learn more. How much is over-doing it? What are the signs and symptoms? Are psychic repercussions positive, negative or neutral? . Personally i want psychic repercussions. I want deeply held stress and trauma to be released. . Edit: perhaps these trauma releases are what you were referring to: someone may do this for general stress relief and unwittingly bring the trauma from subconscious to conscious awareness. That could indeed be troubling for some who didn’t know that’s a possibility.

Thank you. Here are ways to stimulate your VAGUS nerve Alternate-nostril breathing Apply cold compresses to your face and the back of your neck Be quiet Breathe deeply and slowly Compliment others Connect with nature Diaphragmatic breathing, the slower the better Eat a whole-foods diet Exercise (within your ability/within your physician’s guidelines if you are being treated for upper cervical instability) Expose your skin to sunlight Have an attitude of gratitude Hum (such as a rhythmic Om) Laugh and giggle often Listen to calming instrumental music versus amped-up, heavy music Listen to music with uplifting, happy, grateful lyrics versus complaining, bitter, spiteful lyrics Sing (make a joyful noise!) Massage Meditate Nostril breathing (versus mouth breathing) Pray for your own healing and for others (including those who you may see as “enemies” or ones who have hurt you) Reflexology Regularly move your body Say “thank you” Smile as much as possible Take probiotics or eat probiotic foods Visit with people who lift your spirit versus make you feel crummy

I actually started yawning and burping! At first more pain came up from indigestion but it’s slowly going away. Not totally gone but I felt the warmth and just the ability to “be”, which was super nice. Will be doing this continuously! Thank you!

@@zapatista3 good luck! The other thing that helped was deep breathing. Try inhaling for four, holding for 7, and exhaling for 8. Also just reducing stress in general, adding more joy and self-care in my life, and going to therapy to process my feelings!

Wow! 😍I'm here for Chronic Disease that ruins my life for the past 12 years and it's by far the best, most logical and most effective technique i've tried so far! Beside stretching romboïds and tennis ball foot massage, this techniques is also greatly complementary to breathing exercises when abs are tensed! Chronic disease also leads to mental health issues so i can't thank you enough for this. My best sign of efficiency is yawning which indicates i'm close to or currently switching to Parasympathetic. May the Universe grant you 1000x benefits you bring to others.
