A Couple of minor corrections here * I Misspoke and kept referring to the Upward compression part of the compressor as an expander! The effect is correctly described but it is called Upward compression not expansion! Expansion increases dyanmic range, Upward Compression definitely does not lol. Ill go into more detail on this when i cover some of the effects more in depth! but until then i f you want to learn more about upward compression there is a great video by the legendary Dan Worrel that explains it really well: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bquXiWuNj9tmadU *I forgot to mention you can Re-order the FX by dragging the mini module on the left side wherever in the chain you want it! I knew I’d forget something small but important 😂 That being said I am planning to do a video just on creative uses of the FX soon! So I’ll be going into a whole lot of cool uses for them / interesting ways of stacking them together Also if anyone has anything they’d like to add to what I’ve said in the video please reply to this pinned post so people can see your tips 😃

This guide is awesome, thanks for being so thorough. Are there pros and cons of using the effects within vital vs applying equivalent effects in the daw? At least for a beginner like myself who can't hear much difference between different plugins for the same effect, like the countless compression plugins.

@@GarronsMusic Awesome! I don't have much experience with synths so I'm still just watching tutorial videos to get a feel for the controls. Many of the other videos I've seen are shorter videos that show how to make specific sounds but don't explain all of the controls, so this is exactly what I'm looking for.

normally i don’t watch videos longer than 15min...! but this was a very good in depth tutorial to vital. regarding vitals complexity, it naturally still only scratched many of it’s aspects. if you put everything in it though, you’ll probably end up at 20 hours! so great job, you definitely covered more, than the official vital manual does. if only i can remember it all...

By far the most detailed video about Vital ever produced by anyone, many thanks. I've been using Vital for several months, still unravelling some of its pervasive mysteries. Between Vital, Dreamsynth (another of my favorites) Octane and WaveRazor, just about anything is possible, with a tiny budget.
@electropocalypse58772 жыл бұрын
This video was extremely helpful and truly it has been the best tutorial I have found after a couple years research now. My favourite aspect is you focus on the tools and their functions when so many other videos are about creating one specific set of sound(s). So far I've mainly used Synth1, free samples/effect plugins and LMMS native plugins to some success, though mixing has been the worst (clashing frequencies, competing bandwidth). I think with this I'll be able to more easily improve my instruments; sound and my knowledge. Thank you so much. 🙂

Both my pitch and mod wheels are not functioning at all from the moment I load a wave as was mentioned here.
