Leaving bikes on a footpath with people milling around, leaving one couple with a baby bewildered and the Gatesman, trying to find the bollards, with the bikes in the way. Then they moved the bikes across the street. What a bunch of deplorables, with no respect at all.

The police are not " cowed " they are Ministry of Defence police on MOD property there for security and antiterrorism , they can and do order people to leave the tiltyard and assist at change over for public safety reasons . The Troopers are the equivalent of Private and have to go by orders from above , none of us know what those orders are .

Those on ceremonial duties are Troopers equivalent to Private , there are 2 NCO's , Lance Corporal of Horse and Corporal of Horse both ranks are exclusive to The Household Cavalry . Inspection will be done by a Lieutenant or a Captain from either regiment .
