I just quit my job today! First months of my job was running well. I don't feel any pressure or stress and it feels like I'll last longer. But, I was wrong, when my guts told me to quit I did not listen until months pass by, I don't feel happy anymore, everything is stressful, my boss keeps yelling at us almost everyday, my anxiety got worst, daily breakdowns after shift and even day offs. I thought I was just being weak and over reacting until one day I finally realized that it's not healthy anymore. The job just helped me financially but not my personal growth. But this job taught me a lot of things, such as, chosing the right job next time that I would love no matter what the difficulties. Don't forget to look back cuz our previous job will help help us what we want to become.

This was a clue that I should have taken seriously a year ago. I work in a retail/ production company, I work in production. I noticed on their online applications that they were hiring people to do my exact job at a higher rate than me. Despite me being there several years and being much faster and efficient than the newbies being hired. When I had a meeting about it with my boss, I assumed they would say it was an honest overlooked mistake in pay and immediately raise me to what the new hires were making. Nope, they came up with some bs response and said to qualify for that raise I needed to prove myself on the retail side of the business despite these new hires never having to do that work. They only did what I did and got paid more than me, despite being new and slow. But I went along with that nonsense bs excuse and tortured myself learning the retail in order to "qualify". Ever since, new hires are not being forced into that. It was ONLY ME. I'm convinced it was some sort of sadistic punishment for me to dare point out this inequality, and them not wanting To admit a mistake. It's only got worse for me. I'm in clinical burnout mode. I cant take being overworked, unappreciated, and other employees getting bonuses over me. It's time for me to leave but my nerves are fried, and I'm so terrified that another job I go to will be worse. I'm scared to move and am on the verge of a nervous breakdown as I keep crying randomly though out the days.

5 reasons I want to quit my job: 1. 1 hrs 30 minutes train commute everyday. 2. It feels as if whatever work is too slow for them. They want instant outputs and badmouth behind my back that I'm not productive enough. 3. I don't love my job. I love cooking and know a great deal of Video editing. I work on weekends on KZbin and I enjoy doing that. Cooking is my passion. 4. I feel very stressed in office. It is affecting my health and personal relationships. 5. I am quite innocent and I get stuck in office politics every now and then. I don't know how to create a fake rapport between me and my manager. So my manager doesn't likes me.

I didn't want to come back after being sick to deal with their negativity and blame game of how shit went wrong and it was my fault. Any who it was the best feeling ever! Never going back to that toxic company ever and I dont need their reference anyways bc my resume and my experience is well off without them.

I love the work I do but can’t stand the people. Totally negative, gossipy, backstabbing, throw you under the bus at the drop of a hat, willing to lie and not take responsibility for their mistakes and attempt to put them on you, the boss is unprofessional and talks to other employees about you and others behind their backs, constant complaining, no one ever takes your side, you get no credit for being the bigger person, no one sees your value, feeling picked on and singled out, working harder than others because they are physically lazier than you. I have seen colleges of mine just walk a way and weeks later they want their jobs back. So again I say before you plan on resigning please think thoroughly before doing so.

johnny saenz I think the common wisdom of “have a new one lined up before leaving” is both good & bad advice. Not having one lined up can be an excuse to stay in a comfortable, toxic place. Having a job can be an excuse not to look for a new one. Depends on job market & one’s desirability in the marketplace. Quit a job at the only employer in a town with high unemployment? Maybe not. Quit a job in a city with many options in a great economy? Less risk.

I am from Singapore working for McDonald’s for six months now age 63. It is the only company here that hire senior up to age active 80. Does McDonald’s at your area hire without age limits? Working in ‘do this and do’ that before even completing a job given position, to a senior professional can be tough being in this method, but very useful for rebuilding by harvesting positive that is sitting in negative life experience. I have an associates degree that I haven’t even used yet and here I am, stuck in custodial work. I’m pretty sure I could do better. I hate my job and I’m so *miserable* that I cry sometimes. It’s just that my mom passed recently and I’m just smothered in grief and I’m kind of lost. I’m terrified of taking chances of finding new work, having to start that “fitting in” process all over again. But now I really learned the hard way unfortunately that life is too precious and short to be stuck doing something I hate, working with bosses that are absolutely horrible. I’ve always talked about finding a new better job with my mom for like a while now. And I know I have to go. I have to go.
