nice job! can I do this at home even without a turntable, and using an ordinary drill ?

@Lorenzo_TT-RS yes, sure. Check out @DaveMoss video on a similar setup. Probably you'll have to be a little bit more gentle on the pressure to avoid high and low spots. Thanks for watching

I love that turntable! Been thinking about buying a welding turntable to use for these type of jobs.

Get a wheel hub from a car and should give the same result 😉 Thanks for watching

That’s proper decontamination! I use an aluminium oxide 1500 grit paper and rub it by hand on both sides. ( trick given by Karl on Just the way it is. ) Marc, Quebec Canada 🇨🇦🏍😉

I get to know the tool thanks to @DaveMossTuning and the rig/jig idea from other KZbin videos but none used an old wheel hub from a Fiat Uno 😜 Thanks for watching!

Nice video. I have had this tool for awhile but only just got a drill press to attempt this., just need to sort out a turntable. Thanks for posting.

I made the turn table out of an old front wheel hub from my FIAT Uno Turbo and some shelfs that were laying around. Pretty simple setup with amazing results. Thank for watching 👍

Did you get the medium or the fine hone tool? Are you just letting it spin freely on your turntable? I read one guy had a 30prm motor spinning his. Great video btw.

Hey @heatharoni I got the medium grit and apply more or less pressure accordingly. The turn table spins freely. The only info I could find from the manufacturer is that the job must spin but no rpm is specified. Since the tool should work up to 800rpm (if memory serves) when the tool touches the job, it spins with it. Thanks for watching

Alguien que me explique que hace esta herramienta? Rectifica los discos?
@pedrosousa7493 Жыл бұрын
Hi Lucecita, The goal of this tool is to scrub the old pad material from the face of the rotors. This way the new pad will easily bed in. Thanks for watching

Floating disc elevated defeats the purpose of the set up

@Pork Chop I understand what you mean but this is not milling. it's just a face clean with no heat and just scrubbing. Thanks for watching 👍
