I’ve been waiting for your review. Let me first say that I tried Liquid Minerals so many times but it just didn’t work with my skin. It was too drying. I purchased the HydroPure the first day it was on sale and absolutely love it! I’m 52, have normal to dry skin, and use your same foundation colors. This product hydrates all day and plumps my pores. I’ve also been mixing two pumps with my sunscreen (Cay Skin), letting it dry, and then adding extra HydroPure if needed. Love the finish. I wear alone or with Pure Pressed Base (golden glow). I got shades medium 4 and light to medium 3 but prefer the medium 4. Thanks so much for the review!

I'm going to try applying my Jane Iredale products with my fingers, after seeing you do it. I have the Glowtime BB cream and the Liquid Minerals foundation, and I can't get either of them to look good on my skin. Drives me crazy, since they looks flawless on other people. They separate on my skin and really show pores and dry patches. I'm hoping finger application can help get a better finish. If not, maybe they just don't get along with my skincare and sunscreen underneath. I'll keep trying though! Thanks for the comparison video and your final look is gorgeous!

Oh My...I hate that they have discontinued the original version as I love the old one. And it is because of you and your videos that it has been my " go to foundation along with the pure pressed powder on top! The other product that they discontinued was the gorgeous jane Iredale pure gloss lip gloss! I also bought that after watching a video of you wearing that lip gloss in the shade Iced Mocha! It was my very favorite of all time! Had the most beautiful gloss and most of all " Staying power" ! I bought the new one...and sent it back! There is no comparion...in my opinion...as it does not have the staying power and longevity as the pure gloss! I would give anything to find something comparable to the Iced mocha original . Like you said .." If it ain't broke, dont fix it".....Oh well......I will definitely have to try the new serum....and just hope it will be something I can get used to and it will look nice on my skin. I hear ya. I hate it when brands do this. They should have just added it and not gotten rid of the other one. I find this even with products that are not reformulated, sometimes the shades are different from different batches... sometimes a lot. I only use mineral powder makeup (the super clean ones with only about 4 ingredients) and they last forever unopened, so when I find one I absolutely love, I stock up. I am so glad I did because my beloved Bellapierre loose mineral powder was reformulated and the shades are definitely not the same. The formula itself feels pretty similar but the shades not so much. I had bought some every time they went on sale and stashed them away and I am so glad I did! That is one good thing about the simple powders with inert ingredients. They do not go bad (unopened). But sadly, liquids and creams; and some powder products do not last that long. I have. box under my bed of my favorite (mineral powder) products. My husband thinks I am hoarding and I said to him "you just do not understand"..... haha!!!😉

But i get you, i have that with the TF Cocoa Mirage, have still a back up, and the Wayne Goss Smokey quartz eyeshadow palette does come close with the most important colours, the formula is close, not the same, close. Have to look more at this brand Mandy, love the lash primer you recommended me longer ago, it's so natural, so soft and so good, better than Dior/Chanel, i find. Watch here and there, so thankful that i survived covid with my very serious allergic asthma recently. But such beautiful products stop, or limited edition, don't understand it too. Have you noticed any sensitivity from the alcohol that has been added to the formulation? I love liquid minerals for the skin benefits as much as the look, and it’s hard for me to think that something with alcohol so high in the ingredients will still be as kind to the skin.

Denatured Alcohol is commonly used in moisturizing products throughout the cosmetic industry. It serves several purposes in HydroPure. It helps the beneficial ingredients in this formula penetrate deeper and better, thus optimizing the product performance. It helps with texture and viscosity enabling the product to go onto the skin and blend even more easily. It works hand in hand with the glycerin improving the absorption and performance of it. We want to clarify that Denatured Alcohol in this product will not dry the skin. It evaporates very quickly leaving all of the other hydrating ingredients behind to condition the skin. It is only one ingredient in an ocean of humectants and other moisturizing ingredients.

I love liquid minerals. Interesting you don’t use a brush. I’m a license Esthetician and in my training and practice was Iredale and 15 years later I only use liquid minerals and the press powder but not always together. I think the right brush is crucial, especially for those who lack training in this product. You have to have a specific synthetic wet/ brush, flawless each Tim I apply. I apply to the back of my had and mix the foundation quickly and it’s smooth going on. I can understand if one is not trained how to apply they’d give up, which is sad because the product is just AMAZING.

I use the ZO sunscreen + primer. Do I use the Jane iredale before or after? I got a sample of number 3 and have been playing with it. I use it after my sunscreen and I’m scared it’s lifting up my sunscreen and removing it. But I’m not sure how to do it.

This would go on after both, as a base or foundation step. I haven't tried the ZO spf, so I can't speak to the formula of that one, but I like to use a thinner spf with this, so it sinks in and doesn't move around when I apply the jane. Hope this helps!

Thank you for this. I’ve worn JI amazing base for years with JI pressed powder for concealer and to cover more areas. I’m 51. I have been wanting to wear this and just tried it with pressed over it. Not sure if it’s technique or what but didn’t cover my few small dark spots here and there. What do you rec from Jane to help with coverage for these areas? Works fine with my amazing base and pressed powder. Is there a technique with applying pressed?

*I work for JI…I LOVE Liquid Minerals and have worn it for years & have been wearing the updated HP Tinted Serum for a few months now & I honestly cannot tell a difference other than the new HydroPure tinted serum blends so much easier with my fingers- something I would have never done with the Liquid Minerals. I’m super dry so I use this with a Primer. Really enjoy watching all of your videos and you’re beautiful as always!

There are aluminium in the new one...that turns Jane Iredale to just another bad makeup brand. So sad 😞

Are you speaking of the Magnesium aluminum silicate? That is a naturally occurring clay comprised of magnesium, aluminum, silica, and oxygen. While I don't subscribe to the EWG, nor agree with everything it says, there are many that do, and it is a "1" on there. There is no "bad" aluminum in this product.
