In my opinion this is an amazing performance not because it was perfect but because it was imperfect and passionate, the way he just screams without worrying about being on key adds to the tension of the music. Music doesn't have to sound pleasant to sound good. It kinda reminds me of nirvana live. Although I do agree that the mixing could have been better.

Great video, don't know why everyone is hating on it. Most bands like innovation within their set list/songs. Remember they've been playing most of these songs for many years. They play them differently intentionally. It's even more enjoyable in person!

Why isn't the crowd more engaged? This is my FAVORITE band. Their music speaks to millions and everyone in the crowd looks so nonchalant... I guess it's a festival and not an actual Brand New concert, but how I would KILL to go to one of their shows. Listening to TDAGARIM and Daisy songs in this just makes me want to go so much more. Those people don't know what they missed out on.

They've long seemed like a part-time act to me anyway, which I would think would be easier to manage. I say this as a fan who wouldn't mind hearing more from them. :)

The lyrics to Mene sort of tell that same story, too...I wouldn't be surprised if they make one last great album first if they decide to put it to rest.

The only comment I will say is, why is nobody singing? Took my daughters a few months ago to see them in Michigan. Every single person there was screaming every lyric(except Jesus of course). And one other thing to notice. Their isn't 4000 cell phones permanently in the air. That is great!

2024 feels especially shitty related to Brand New. Never has there been such a resurgence and interest in related genres, Sunny Day Real Estate's on their 2nd tour in a year, Knapsack looks poised to hop back and endless 20th n 30th anniv tours. In btwn all the shows i go to emo nite bk / black parade / pop punk night events constantly, its so glaring that Brand New is not in any playlist. For the record, in the real world, ppl still talk about Brand New with glowing word constantly, including myself and bump it loud as hell out my speaker alllll over the bx bk and Manhattan in the summer..orchard n jones beach 🕺🏻🤘🏻

I also echo some of the other comments about it being weird seeing them live in daylight. It sucks, but on Sic Gloria, I feel like there was no otherway for him to pull off the lyrics without it sounding like rapping. Obviously, the people that know the song will understand, but seeing it from outside views, it immediate sounds bad. Either way, props to them, they found a way out of the myspace/emo scene. I've always been a fan of this band, regardless of whatever else I ventured to.

I think people don't understand that you can't sing exactly the same in studio as you can on stage, especially a giant stage like Lallapalooza. His voice is more powerful and bassy than on the recording because he has to push a bit harder than he would in studio.

Didn't care for dashboard had a blast at the concert, but was let down by the vocals, I almost always am. In 2009 I also had a blast seeing them at San Jose State with Thrice. This was a great night both bands kicked ass but agaIn the vocals sucked. They are my favorite band but they disappoint live. This is coming from a musician

I regret never seeing these guys when I could. Such an underrated band. In my top 10 for sure. I think if they came back no one would care about Jessie's past problems. I've looked them up and couldn't find any of them still playing with any band. Let me know if anyone knows about these guys being in other bands please. Also don't think Berlin was ready for brand new lol. Kinda lame audience, but that's ok.
