Looks to be super versatile and able to do a lot of work in automotive. I think it’s going to be a very nice upgrade from the old stubby and the three lights up front is awesome

I'm picking up the 1/2 first then replacing my 3/8 workhorse later. I know the 3/8 is a bit stronger, but it does struggle a bit on larger fasteners when adding extentions or wobble adapters. The 1/2 version will be a nice addition with that in mind. I appreciate that you did mention that while taking off the lug nuts with the 1/2 version since you do feel the difference with the extra mass the 1/2 provides👍🏻

You have the best tool reviews. Not only do you talk about the tool but you show it in real world use. Highly appreciated it. One thing I would like to see is how it does vs the original stubby with the smaller batteries and how much faster is the battery drain. Maybe rotate all 4 tires with the new and the old and show how many bars left ?

Impressive! If you’re not careful, you can really do some damage with these tools by over torquing and breaking stuff.

For those kind of bolts any impact can do it. Even a impact driver.

exactly, this needs to be emphasized. same thing within the engine bay. complete overkill with a questionable way to change modes. it’s comical to me that someone could claim this thing rips 550lb torque but isn’t intended to take lugs off. then wtf is that 550lb for?

Got the new stubby, tried it out, returned it. Keeping my Gen1. Gen1 was underrated, it says 250 ft lbs, but it was tested breaking 400 ft lbs on Shop Tool Reviews. Can use XC batteries to achieve those numbers and use 5HO and you might hit 500 ft lbs. Gen2 rated at 550 ft lbs, tested at 600 ft lbs i believe on Shop tool reviews. And that also when using a 5HO battery. Other batteries.... meh Gen 1, batteries last a long time. Gen 2, 5HO battery lasts a mere 2 minutes of continuous use. So when you say, double the power.. come on dude 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The problem is, us milwaukee fan boys wont ever admit online that this is a shitty tool. If they had increased the power in a similar body without the shitty mode change, it would have been a 90% perfect tool.

Nice video. Did they fix the tab issue on the M12 batteries? Are the new high output battery tabs better? Thanks..

@@RJM_2023 abs are definitely improved on the high output, batteries. Slight redesign, and the materials are different that not as brittle..

What’s the consensus if only 1 ? The 3/8 or 1/2 if have equal socket sets ?

if you already own 1/2 impacts, 1/2 sized gen 2 if you only had one

The new gen 3 M18 is much smaller than that stubby M12. That one is still bulky.
