In the last combo, you could also grab Kitt instead of Mercourier. Then, at the end of the combo, you go : declare Kitt to ss, effect Kitt on summon CL 1, Mirrorjade CL 2, Rindbrumm CL 3 send Kitt back to hand, so you can grab any branded S/T and put Kitt back to deck.

8 bystial seems good, however I’d opt to run 3 Saronir since it’s the best bystial and you want that in your opening hand to get the best combo (or lubellion however I like the 2 since it makes the deck much cheaper for those who can’t afford 3, let alone 2)

I went to a locals today and I played vs a mirror match branded fusion the other player had a mirrorjade on the field and I had a branded lost on mine I summon fallen of albaz and activated his effect to fusion. That would be chain one and they activated mirrorjade effect to banish my fallen of albaz. So what is the right play here does the albaz get banished or does the fusion happen and they can’t activate that effect of mirrorjade?

I’ve been playing just 3 Lubellion, 3 Magnamhut and 3 Saronir. Definitely interested in trying out your ratio though. I personally hate the patchwork engine in my deck so much though, I always hard draw poly, Edge imp chain and a Bystial together and want to cry 😂

For foolish you can send a Saronir to help get you to your plays plus you could send the tragedy. You could also send a bystial lubellion for extension. I’ve tried both and gold sarc does come up but I found foolish more often

Though it does kill a few cards, namely Aluber's second effect and Mirrorjade which sends for cost, though it also hurts Shrouded Albion and the spelltraps. The main thing is that it hurts later game plays and hurts pretty much every other deck way harder

Well, I'm glad you used your feelings. A 1/3, 2/5, 3/8 ratio has been used since the beginning of deck building. I think this has been tried and true for decades.

@@thecalieffect imma be honest, i don't know what you're talking about 😭 What i meant was i personally feel way more comfortable with 3 branded opening, 3 patchwork and 3 lubellion Since those are the main starters, i think it works better to max em out And i agree with cutting ad libitum, but i still kept dramaturge since it is a nice extender with a built in negate

The rule of the thumb for deckbuilding is that if you're playing a card that needs other cards to function the amount of said card you should play for your targets MINIMUM to ensure you consistently don't brick are as follows. 1/3, 2/5, 3/8. So if you're playing 3 Aluber in this case and want to increase your chances of searching it playing 1 copy of Branded Opening is mathematically correct in terms of brick/playable ratio. The rule can be broken under certain circumstances, but overall this method has been tried and true for decades.

It's decent but exactly 2 targets are of any benefit for the banish- Mercourier and Tragedy, which are infinitely better when used for other things than a random draw, and this deck can't really use random draws that well. All of the other dark monsters you play are ones you'd much rather summon, send to grave, or just keep in your hand. Just max out on High Spirits and Opening. If you need a secondary engine, the Patchwork engine will help you with extra resources.

For what locals maybe but regional or ycs na they don't do enough. You need a critical mass of them to be good enough to justify them. Like meta depends on your area your in but you can play so many better cards against specific decks like that droll is more impactful or d barrier would also work against Drytron

Should've grabbed your Bystials on release when they were all under $10. I got my set of 9 for ~$4-5 each and Lubellions for $35-$40 each. Cartesia was a $15 card for a long time and only really spiked after the list announcement

Mirrorjade normally would banish a monster on the field. However, he used rindbrumm the striking dragon effect to negate the effect, and can return any monster on the field the hand. The restriction, which doesn't allow you to use again the next turn is part of mirrojade's effect to banish a monster, so since the effect to banish got negated by rindbrumm, you can use mirrorjade effect to banish next turn. The purpose of negating your own mirrorjade with rindbrumm is to send a fusion like Albion, or Alba Lenatus, to use either on your opponent's turn, or have follow up. Hopefully, this helps you understand.

You can actually get around evenly matched with branded expulsion (the trap). You can summon two monsters, one on your field and one on your opponent's field in defense position. Activate your expulsion as chained to their evenly, they cannot use evenly because they then control a monster. GGs. Also, for dark ruler, you have sets usually like branded in red and bystials in hand and beast on the field. All of these can be used after they dark ruler. Then mirrorjade can also just nuke their field at end phase.
