Brandon Boyd is a young talented artist with unequivocal compassion, soul-stirring emotion and heart rending feeling in his song writing and music.

Brandan Boyd is just an amazing person. Apart from his dashing good looks (what woman from this era doesn't notice that?) his humility is the ultimate bonus to him being a very intelligent and talented artist. I first heard about Incubus when I was only 11 years old, & the song was Drive. That song is still one of my favorites today which I see as my life song. I love what he says about the relationship the band has with their listeners. I feel it. I also feel that the song "Dig" is based upon how they managed to be successful as a band for 27 years now. Well done Incubus & congratulations on your 8th album "8". Love you guys always ❤❤

In my opinion, what makes Brandon so incredibly sexy is his intelligence. Being so well-spoken, Brandon's verbal eloquence greatly eclipses his outer beauty. Now, if he were also a humble, honest person with a true compassion for others, I'm gone! lol

this is the most honest interview I have ever seen from a great artist, its ok to show your weaknesses, I feel the same way about how like making music and art in ur bedroom and then having to go out and do it as a job is a big transition, u work your hole life at something and than all of a sudden u have to go out and perform in front of people and try and make a living, artists are not business savy, but now a days it seems all the popular artists are either controlled by big studios or very good at internet advertising themselves and some artists are not very good at self promotion.

I've listened to incubus since the early 90's, His music and his understand and appreciation for music is the depth beyond the way people today portray music for what it really is. I've gone through a horrible down fall of things and through his music its helped me get through the emotional trend. For that I am thankful for his talent through his music.The fact you stay humble and kind through your music, makes you a true musician! I will always listen to your music and will stay a #1 FAN!!!!

Granted, the music industry is a volatile business. However, to survive, you have to play the game to some degree. If you can manage to keep your artistic conscious while you make money, even better! I don't think all artists who play the game "sell out." Sometimes, you just have to pick your battles.
@danielellis316711 жыл бұрын
They've gotten older and their knowledge of music changes (i.e Mike going to Harvard, DJ Kill learning more about the structure of the keyboard, Brandon making a solo album) and you can't expect them to sound the same throughout their career. I mean, I agree with you to some level, the new album isn't my favorite, but it keeps growing on me and there is still the same "incubus" type of ingenius sound behind it. I'm just saying..."down hill" and "utter garbage" aren't exactly true.

Wikipedia: "Selling out is the compromising of integrity, morality, or principles in exchange for personal gain, such as money.[1] In terms of music or art, selling out is associated with attempts to tailor material to a mainstream or commercial audience; for example, a musician who alters his material to encompass a wider audience may be labeled by fans who pre-date the change as a sellout.[2]" -- it's fact that Incubus sold out; They play their newer songs on adult ez listening radio FFS.
