@@duartelucas5746and today, past their heyday, to most people they're kind of a jokey "bro bro" music chapter. I find that not a whole lot of people mention them anymore when talking about their favorite bands, etc. It's just like, "oh dope that Drive song is in Beef."
@duartelucas574610 ай бұрын
@@cpellett0821 But that’s because they had a couple of songs that crossed over to the mainstream. Which I think it’s great, otherwise a lot of people wouldn’t have heard about them. I've been a huge fan of the guys for almost 20 years and this Is by far my favorite "interview" they've ever done. Mainly because Stryker asked questions that I've always hoped they would be asked and never were, like was It on bad terms when Dirk left the band etc.. Also the band is usually very playful or vague when answering questions that they get repeatedly so they seemed to be happy about the refreshing/unpredictable questions.

Started getting into Incubus in middle school, 1999. Greatest time to be thirteen and exploring more rock bands. I listened to pop music as well, but Incubus is happy music to my ears. I was lucky to see them perform live on two separate occasions: 2009 and 2011 at Northerly Island in Chicago. The band's music kinda makes you think more about life in general, maybe even the energy you feel when you listen to the music a lot deeper. 😎

Longtime fan of Incubus. I grew up in OC, California. I would roll into bionic records in Fulllerton Ca. weekly. I remember going there in one afternoon in 1997. The drummer from a local band Longfellow was working the counter, I was going through the used CD's. The song "A Certain Shade of green" came on. I looked over at him and I said is the rest of this album as good as this song? He said yes it is. I said I need this Disk right now. I saw them a couple of months later at the Showcase theater in Corona, Ca. and the at the Barn in Riverside. I somehow managed to snag The record release tickets to make yourself record release party which happened at the Roxy in LA. First time i met Chris Kilmore. Nicest guy. I said whats the setlist for tonight? He said what do you want it to be? i said "Redesign" and then all the new stuff and then it happened....

There was a rock station here in Connecticut, WCCC 106.9, that played New Skin heavily in 1997. I can remember driving home from work at night and the station would play the song at about the same time every night. They played it at other times as well. Based on that one song, I went out and bought SCIENCE. Yeah, the example is just one radio station in one state but I have to believe there were other stations that discovered Incubus at the same time and started to play their music.
