I’m trying my best. I’m about to get into a methadone maintenance program. I gotta get my life back on track. 13 years chasing the dragon. I’m over it.

@JosephGross17 Жыл бұрын
@F30586 you don't need a methadone clinic believe me. You just have to want it bad enough and be willing to go to hell and back. Its just putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound. God and strength are all you need. Coming from a recovered addict. Jesus is the great redeemer. Prayers

This is a great speech Brandon. The only thing I have to say is until we honestly submit and believe Jesus is the only true God or higher power we will never be who we are created to be. Only until i went to a christ based program CR group did i finally get it. AA was good but i was always missing the point....God is our higher power. Prayers to all who struggle with addiction of any kind and its not only to substances porn, perfectionism it could be anything. Prayers you find him❤

After your first 5 years you get your marbles back the next 5 year you learn how to play with them the next 5 years you learn how to give them away . hopefully he keeps coming back so we can hear his real story and not a recovery monaloge 😉 either way he still is a blessing to many thank you Brandon 🙏

Parenting is a big part of it but in the end people will sometimes make really shitty choices. Those that make those poor decisions, despite “perfect“ upbringing have to dig themselves out with the shovel of personal accountability. Life throws unpredictable curve balls at even the most headstrong individuals

I’ve always compared myself to other addicts and said I wasn’t an addict just because I’ve never put a needle in my arm. I’m 37 yrs old and drank very heavily from 20 yrs old to 33 yrs old. I would never turn down a pill or a powder when partying so I considered my self a moderate drug user. In all actuality I was a poly drug abuser bragging like I was some kind of functional addict 🤦♂️. I haven’t had a drink or a drug since August,15,2021.

Why can’t he just speak without saying the same story all the time literally almost word for word. Almost as if this is just another stunt for him
@kevinjohnston566 Жыл бұрын
All he can do is speak his own experience. It is the same story because it’s the only story he has lived. It’s the opposite of phony or a stunt. Try and change your perspective.

I mean, good for Novak , but as a student of many, many rooms..goong on 7 years clean myself..his speech is literally just cliché after cliché , platitude after platitude..literally a regurgitation of every AA speech ive ever heard. Too bad, because his actual story is much more interesting than his speech here.
@Stereostupid Жыл бұрын
Yeah I've noticed that myself the only time it was different was on Steve o's podcast because it was unscripted...he's probably giving a summary of his book or developed a speech he can just repeat everywhere but it would be probably better if he just answered questions from a host then you gotta be in the moment
