This is basically a really weird retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice.
@graemesmith67214 жыл бұрын
Except in that story Eurydice gets pulled back into the underworld when Orpheus loses his faith and looks back to see if she's following him. It's weird that they touched on that plot point in the movie but didn't really do anything with it.
@Blisterdude1234 жыл бұрын
@@graemesmith6721 I don't think it's that weird. They weren't adapting it. But it's possible they decided to lift part of it. People do this sort of thing all the time in movies.

@guillaumebabey44846 жыл бұрын
The "don't look back" rule is based on the greek myth of Orpheus who got the right to bring back Eurydice, the woman he loved, from the underworld (Hades) on the condition he would not look back at her. Close to the exit, Orpheus was not hearing his fiancée anymore and turned back to make sure she was still there, and by doing so, she disappeared forever.

Very similar to "Desperation", written by Stephen King and published in 1996. It was later made into a 2006 film and starring Ron Perlman playing a psycho, possessed cop who goes around killing people and taking victims back to the local police station, somewhere off the deserted highway in Nevada. It does have supernatural elements to it aswell. What's the thing with the big birds that appear when he summons them to torment and kill? his victims?!! Mostly though, I think he just goes around randomly shooting innocent drivers who dare to drive on HIS highway!!
