Funny enough with the Guyver : Dark Hero mention. The actor who played the lead in that is David Hayter, who is well known for the voice role of Solid Snake of Metal Gear Solid fame. And the title of this film used the same font as Metal Gear Solid game series.

The MK actress name is Musetta Vander. I got a chance to meet her back in the 90s when I went to a premiere of an also direct to video movie called Oblivion. She was very nice and even took a picture with me.

She's quite good actually. I saw her int he Oblivion movies by Full Moon and quite liked her performance there too. It's pretty obvious that MK was intentionally over-the-top. Sindel was acted with this sort of manic glee... and it totally fit the movie.

I remember this movie when I was a kid. I thought it was cool but there were a few things about Bostwick’s character that confused me. How does a Colonel have authority over a general? Why exactly did he think the werewolf would be under his control? Why is he straightening his suit and hair while he’s getting thrashed by the metal beast?

I think it's just bit of character trait, because he was rich military dude who was always in control, so when he gets trashed by a werewolf, he acts like it doesn't bother him. I actually remember this movie from when I was little, I remember not being the slight bit scared but I liked the look of the metal werewolf. And what's funny, I actually though (for some reason) that it was based on the NES game "Werewolf: The Last Warrior" just because that game had a werewolf with metal bladed T-1000 arms. Then I was disappointed because the whole movie I was waiting for the metal werewolf to somehow become some kind of superhero and fight all the bad military guys. XD

Remakes are not always shite, it depends on the intent of the makers. For example, the remake of The Fly with Jeff Goldblum is considered a bit of a horror classic and John Carpenters The Thing is also a remake
