The Victory Magnum is the most beautiful factory bagger ever made 😍

I almost bought one and the. The dealer by me put it on sale when victory closed the doors. The dealership told me it sold within a hour of them dropping the price. I was so disappointed I didn’t call off work that day.

Victory Vision, Cross Tourer. They're all special. But I love my Jackpot. Never get rid! I'd love to experience a tour set-up with that engine and ergonomics.

Paint work is WORK. Some of the hardest things to do on a bike. Looks like you are having fun. And yes, the edges are the bane of your existence.

Right you are. The clean up sucks.

I like to use a soft foam block when wet sanding. You can get them at auto body supply stores. Oreilly Auto Parts sells them too.

3:40 wet sanding by hand, understanding touch/pressure, is the best way. Especially on a motorcycle gas tank.

bro I almost cried when that lid went down, as I'm sure you almost did. I use what we call Crash Wrap. its used to temporarily fix a broken window till the shop can order the glass, sticks to anything peels easy clear and very thick poly like wrap comes in a roll and I wrap all the parts in it, promise that lid wrapped would have been mint still.

Now. I'm no pro, but taught by an old hot rodder from Back in the day, he always heated up the piece some to achieve an even flow of the paint/clear, and warm product before you spray, you can leave it in the direct sunlight for a time, depending on how hot it is in your area, use an oven in the case of metal parts if there is no sun, careful in the oven with the plastics, these tricks will help with orange peel or texture of any kind in your clear. and you are making that clear look so good, in the case of the edges, burn through is common, when I'm painting I will purposely spray the edges 3x and wait the proper flash time between coats, then coat the entire piece with 2 full wet coats. Burn through is rare when this becomes a practiced habit. sorry for the book!

I had the same problem on paint lifting/wrinkle. I had to strip the paint completely off then hit with primer and finally get it to lay down. Killer job man 👊

the headlight bezel looks like the paint reacted with what ever was on there. did you take it down the the raw material? or scuff and paint?
@BrandonBicasso3 ай бұрын
Good ole scuff and paint considering it was black to black. I think the hardener reacted with the primer possibly.

Bro, when you have sharp edges on the part you can cover them with tape to avoid burning thru... I like your work and work ethic 👍 I am sick of everything being painted grey, manufacturer's just stop already. IMO...
@BrandonBicasso3 ай бұрын
I'll try that next time! I don't claim pro at all. I can paint, definitely not a painter.

Considering I’m not a professional, few weeks to a month. On and off working on it.

Well, consider this. I had to remove the parts. Stitch the broken ones together. Take them to the body shop which dents were pulled and other pieces fiber glassed and bondo’d. Wait. Found the front fairing. Had another guy fix it. Wait. Then I had to remove the decals from the fairing involving bondo. Then, primer, wet sand and paint everything. 15 parts in total. Wait till the clear dried. Then, polish everything involving wet sanding, compounding then polishing. Haven’t even waxed it.
