Reviving A Battered Victory Magnum... Slowly

💭 This has been a long time coming. The Magnum arrived in the garage a year ago and no work besides taking it apart has happened. I’ve been quiet about it but gathering parts to make progress. First part is getting the inner fairing back on and making it look like a motorcycle again.

Brandon my brother. Suggestion, get ride of speaker pods; you don't need them. Get yourself some after market 6 1/2" speakers with adaptors that will all you to go from stock 5 1/2" to larger 6 1/2" speakers. You are doing all this work for nothing; its not needed. I have 2015 CCT and have done this speaker upgrade myself. Get on VOG victory forum lots of information available. :)

Brandon you're becoming a good fabricator, you should practice with this bike fabrication brackets for the larger radio amplifier. I'm sure you can do it. It would give you good practice.

That air filter is the oem k&n stage one reusable air filter. It just needs to be cleaned and oiled.

Nah. That’s the original cloth air filter. No K&N about that.

⁠@@BrandonBicassoafter looking again you are correct it was just that dirty. lol The K&N is gray-ish and has a mesh. If you need a new one of the cloth type I have one I picked up in a lot of other parts I would give you if you haven’t ordered one already.

I want a magnum so bad. I saw a Stealth edition for sale on cycle trader and it was stunning. Im undecided about owning two Victory bikes though. Polaris did us dirty.

Polaris wouldn't have shut down the Victory line if it actually turned a profit. I am glad that Victory was around to give Harley some competition. At least Polaris took that knowledge and moved it over to the Indian brand. From the looks of things, Indian is here to stay.

@CactusJack252 there is no arguing that. The Victory line up would have turned a profit "If" the bikes had better fit and finish and more model options like the Indian brand offers. I am however very happy to see what the Indian line up offers to the consumer. Let's be real, the scout is a Victory octane, the Challenger is the bigger brother to the outgoing 106 Freedom platform. Being a Victory owner I wish they would've stuck with the Victory line up. There is still so much potential for older vic models but absolutely no support for em anymore. Polaris could have easily worked with Lloydz and made a big bore 116 that puts power down.

Brandon you have rebuilt Chiefs so i value your opinion. When changing the oil how much do you put in 5.5qts 5.75qts or 6qts. Can’t wait till your next vid

I put in 4, start the engine for a quick moment. I've had issues with the oil running over because the pump needs to suck the oil down. Then put in around that 5.5 mark. It can be tricky which is why the bike has to be started to check the oil. Can't do it cold.

Thats a crossover not an amp. It separates high frequency from low as tweeters cant handle lows
