Regarding the use of the keyboard on top of the MacBook: the blue thin feet go in between the first and second row of keys of the MacBook. Not only will the Air75 be secured and won't move around when it use, but it will also not trigger any single key on the MacBook keyboard. This is the intended way Nuphy designed it to be used and it's indicated in their respective product page.

I have a V1 and am very happy with it. Figured I'd wait a generation before picking up an upgrade. Being blind, I use this keyboard primarily with my iPhone and find it superb. Other than wishing there was a way to properly orient the keycaps by feel after replacing switches, I have no major gripes. Love the typing feel and sturdyness of the board. You did a very good review here. I'll be keeping an ear out for more.

I have had the Nuphy AIr 75 V1 for over a year. it is on my Mac. I bought Nuphy Air75 V2 instantly when it was released and it is my Windows keyboard. LOVE Nuphy keyboards.

What differences have you noticed between the two?

Great video. I just received mine and love it! The extra switches aren’t backups. They’re samples of the other switches you can buy for the keyboard.

Glad to hear! You are right they are a sampler, but can also come in handy in a pinch.

I have been using a Keychron K3 Pro for about a year now and I love it. I have the brown switches. I just got the Nuphy Air v2 w/ the wisteria switches. First impressions, the build quality is about equal between the two. I think I like the brown switches a bit better because the feedback makes it obvious when I have pressed the key. The wisteria switches are much quieter and less clicky, but I still like the feel. I think my typing might be a bit less accurate with the wisteria switches due to lack of the clicky feedback but so far I like it.

"If you've not used low profile switches before, I would sum them up as a more comfortable typing experience by minimising unnecessary finger movement. They aren't as fatiguing as the full key throw of a full MX switch" - That's an odd thing to say. You're not supposed to press switches all the way down to the bottom. The extra travel distance of a normal key just gives you an extra buffer/cushion space, which reduces fatigue because you're not slamming all the way down into the solid bottom of the keyboard.

Where are you buying nuphy air75 switches when nuphy's website is usually out of stock?
@justinseans Жыл бұрын
I just bought this....waiting on it. Im not sure those are extra keycaps as much as they are advertisements for NuPhy's custom gaterons. Lol i got aloes with a side of browns and the shine through keycaps. I never have had a real mechanical keyboard so i wanted to try a few switches. I didn't realize they had those samples in there. So thats actually a nice touch for some one who hasnt experienced many different switches.

Which switches do you have on your Nuphy?

These are the Daisy linear switches. I think for me personally I would prefer a tactile, but that ultimately comes down to personal preference. nuphy.com/collections/switches/products/nuphy-daisy-l48-low-profile-switches

Would love to see someone make this sound more "marbly." Wonder if that's even possible with low profile switches or if the case has room for mods. Digging the Akko keyboard with magnetic adjustable travel switches. So many options!

Yeah. I just do not understand why, WHY all the features like split layout, 75% layout, QMK/VIA, must come with mechanical switches. Mechanical switches SUCK. They are loud, thick, and tires the fingers. Why can't no company make keyboard with those features using scissor switches? Hardly anyone complains about the key feeling of Apple keyboards?

The keychron k1se has been perfect for putting over the top of the macbook 16inch. Ive tried other boards and they do hit th epower button and for whater reason karabiner eliments can not stop that. The power button is always active reguardless of the rest of the keys being disabled. I think its worth trying the nuphy tho as the keychron feels a bit weird to type on and just feels a bit wrong.

Great review! I’m looking for a nice entry level wireless keyboard for my Boox Note Air 3C. The Nuphy Air75 v2 is around 175 euros in the Netherlands. A little bit too steep for my taste. Do you have a recommendation for a budget wireless keyboard?
@BrandonKBoswell Жыл бұрын
The Lofree Flow is similar if you can find it cheaper in your country.
@metballetjes Жыл бұрын
Hi south-neighbour, belgian guy here, had the same initial thought on the price and was looking into the keychron K3 pro as well. (also low profile, wireless and QMK compatible) which is 130 euros. However the 45 euro difference is also visible in build quality, QMK (nuphy 8 layers, k3 has 4), battery size and the sound dampening or the lack thereoff in the k3 pro. You could go for a normal profile wireless mech-keyboard for cheaper (-100 euro options are available) but I personally want something low profile for portability. All in all I decided that the Nuphy air75v2 is the best buy even at the steeper price.

Recently got an air75v2 after daily driving a keychron k3 for a year. It's completely revolutionary. The type feel is so smooth and clean. The keys aren't as loud with the wisteria switches. Battery life is amazing! Haven't charged it in over a week and with mixed use I'm still at 50 with RGB on at night. It is game changing how a relatively better keyboard can work out for your typing. I'm not a very fast typer but this keyboard is so smooth that I just use it all the time with my Windows laptop and don't make as many mistakes as I would on the Keychron. Keychron keyboards have serious bluetooth issues. This one can work upto 10 feet away without skipping or spamming key presses. Overall though I rate it as one of my best purchases and I have the same colour way as yours. Good review!

This was how I felt after using the Lofree in the spring. The change in switches and key travel did wonders for comfort and the Nuphy just takes that to the next level by getting the details right!
