Can we talk about how Alex's parents are the worst parents ever? Let's examine the evidence: Exhibit A: Alex's mom rips off his suitcase's sticker even though he politely asked her not to, causing him undue stress. Exhibit B: When his parents pick him up and take Clear home, they don't even offer to let her stay with them, despite the fact that she has just gone through a traumatic experience. The topic of her living situation must have come up when they offered her the ride. Hell, they didn't even drive her up to her house! They let her walk all the way up there in the pouring rain! Exhibit C: Alex's parents bring him home, and immediately fall asleep without even attempting to comfort their son! Exhibit D: About halfway through the movie, Alex's dad asks him what's wrong and why he seems so distant. Gee, I don't know dad! I mean, I had a premonition about a plane explosion that killed me and my friends, freaked out and got us kicked off the plane, which, by the way, exploded just like in my vision! Also, two people, including my best friend, have died brutal deaths over the course of a week! Maybe that has something to do with it!

One of my favourite foreshadows in this film, is that when Todd is telling Alex not to switch seats he gestures a noose around his neck. Todd dies by hanging. The other one is that Billy looks out the window and the reflection of the plane flies across his face just where his face was chopped off. The first few films were so clever in their foreshadowing I wish more death scenes were like Todd's though. Gore is all well and good, but watching someone slowly suffocating was so horrible to watch and not many death scenes make me feel so unnerved.
@The_RedVIII4 жыл бұрын

20:30 Most people miss the detail of Carter pissing his pants in that scene. lol There was originally a subplot where Alex gets Clear pregnant. Hence, when she becomes the target, he sacrifices himself so that death would skip her. At the end, she gives birth then later tells Carter that they only won a full life each. This gained a negative reception from the test audience due to being so cheesy. Thus, the new ending was made in order to maintain a consistent tone throughout the movie.

When I watched this movie for the first time, I watched the German-dubbed version, so my mind was adjusted to the German language for the whole film. And when Alex looked at that shred of newspaper saying "Tod", I started wondering: "Oh, wow... Tod!!! But who exactly is gonna die now?". The reason for this is, that "Tod" is the German word for "death". It took me a couple of seconds to realize, that this was his buddy's name. So for a moment I fell for the misassumption, that this piece of paper would predict the death of someone of them but not of this guy named Tod in particular. 😁

if you would like a time loop movie, i would recommend source code starring jake gyllenhaal

Why tho????? You could have said Groundhogs Day or Happy Death Day but you went with Source Code! The most vanilla action movie that ever vanilla'd. LOL

I'm so happy that you'll plan to react to the rest of the movies. They do drop the ball a bit but it's one of my favorite franchises.

The coroner is Tony Todd, he starred in the Night Of The Living Dead remake directed by F/X legend Tom Savini but among horror fans he's probably best known as Candyman.

Yes, he is a horror Icon. His scene at the morgue is like "wink" to horror fans.

I’m living for how much you liked it! As someone whose all time favorite is the Final Destination franchise, I loved seeing it through the eyes of someone watching for the first time!

Damn nice choice to react to! I loved watching this series for the first time and figuring stuff out with the characters

I appreciate the rare first time genuine reaction to this film. I remember seeing this when I was either JUST a teen or right before and it's stuck with me ever since. Big fan of this one.

The second one has a great beginning scene and is definitely worth a watch. After that the whole gimmick gets a bit stale tho. First one is definitely the best, and I like it a lot. And man, Ali Larter is just gorgeous in this movie.

Tony Todd (Mr. Bludworth) appears in most of the Final Destination films. In effect, he's a harbinger of death, if not death itself.

Would love to see reactions to the rest of the movies in this franchise! I like this one the best but I definitely think it's a series you have to watch at least once in your life especially if you like horror movies.

You seriously bring back so much memories with some of these movies and the same reaction that I had at the time just brings back a lot of good times...

I had a very sheltered religious upbringing, so this is the first real horror movie I ever remember watching (when I was old enough to drive myself to the theater). I still have a soft spot for this series and the creativity of the deaths.

Funny Fact: This film originally gonna be an episode of X-Files where Scully's brother had the vision and Scully would try to save him.

you know, right after I watched this movie (like a month or so later) I was going on a family vacation and guess what the final flight numbers were? that's right, 1 8 0. I was so damn nervous. lol Final destination series left quite a bit of life long "supersticious" with me, I don't ever drive behind trucks carrying cargo if you know what I mean.

I'm so stoked that you're watching this! This series is one of my favorites. I hope you'll watch the rest at some point too! They're not as good as the first, but they are pretty fun to watch.

Although as the series goes on I feel like the quality goes down especially 3 & 4 but its worth watching it until the very end. The 1st, 2nd 5th ones are pretty badass & you'll see why if you decide to watch them all eventually either on the channel or in your own time.

The third one is the best. The deaths are so well done. It all happens in a way that seems coincidental or simply because of peoples actions.
