If not Judas, it would have been someone else. Jesus knew it would be Judas. He knew his mission, his purpose, and he still loved Judas because he also knew he was fulfilling the hardest role of all, to betray him, and then took his own life in grief. It had to be. Judas did not know what Jesus knew.

I am an old man who has trouble remembering names--even those who are my relatives. After I stumbled across this website I determined to come up with a mnemonic device to help me remember Brother Brandon's name: I am a new arrival to Texas, so I picture a cowboy chasing a flock of robins with a brandin' iron. As silly as that is, it works! I so appreciate your contribution to my understanding of the gospel of Christ. May His blessings continue to flow to you and through you, Cowboy!.

For me the sad thing about Judas was the despair he experienced after his betrayal 😔 He displayed the fact that he just didn't get the fact that Jesus/God loved him and no matter what would forgive him when he expressed his true sorrow for his actions. Judas was lacking in his trust of the forgiving nature of God. My hope is that at some point before his soul left his body God gave him one last chance to ask for forgiveness.
@Orthanderis
@Orthanderis 2 жыл бұрын
Imagine Judas on judgement day. The amount of fear and pain he felt honestly would make him wish he was never born. Not knowing what we know, he would have seen: - Betrayed an innocent man, his close friend, and had him tortured to death for money - Not only that, but this man was the son of the God he worships who had come to save humanity - in doing so he ruined gods plan to save humanity, dooming the souls of everyone who ever lived and will ever live to Satan and Sin - and when he faces God in the afterlife, he KNOWS god is capable of doing quite literally ANYTHING to his soul in his fury. The pure, unequivocal terror and sorrow he must have felt. It describes words. The poor man must have believed that god can never forgive him for what he did, and killed himself knowing that not even death can save him from Gods rage. The saddest thing is that the rage never actually came, Jesus and God had forgiven him before he betrayed Jesus, and by returning the gold to try to get Jesus back he had repented for a crime he believed was unforgivable, and ultimately was forgiven, wasn't he? Along with the Romans and Jews and the city of Jerusalem.

Jesus loved Judas. Judas loved Jesus. The others disciples didn't fully understand what Jesus's life meant until much later, neither did Judas. Each took a different path leading up to their understanding. Knowing he hurt Jesus led him to take his own life. He returned the blood money, washed his hands of the betrayal in the presence of the High Priest and was devastated to the point he took his own life. I hope and pray that in those last moments he cried out to God and voiced his shame and regret. If he, in any way, asked for forgiveness, I believe that God would have forgiven him. Jesus looked down from the cross and forgave. I've always wondered if Judas was on his mind at that moment. How could he not have been? Asking for forgiveness and meaning it, and still being so desperate that one could take their life, is still a strong possibility in this life. In other words, he could have been forgiven by God and still so crushed that he couldn't keep on living. I hope I see him in Heaven.

Saying Judas was an apostle is basically teaching that you can loose your Salvation. Saying judas was a saved is basically Saying you can loose your Salvation. Judas was not a true believer. Judas was called for a different purpose. He wasn't a believer. Judas was called to fulfill prophecy. Judas is known as the Son of perdition. Judas is known as unclean. Judas is known as a devil . Judas is a traitor, and was prophesied to be a traitor. Judas had a chance to believe, but he didn't believe. It is written. ◄ Psalm 41:9 the prophecy New International Version Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me. ◄ Matthew 26:23 ► the prophecy fulfilled New International Version Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me. ◄ John 13:18 ► the prophecy fulfilled New International Version “I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned against me.’ ◄ John 13:10 ► New International Version Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, (though not every one of you.”) ◄ John 13:11 ► New International Version For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said (not every one was clean.) ◄ John 6:70 ► New International Version Then Jesus replied, (Have I not chosen you), the Twelve? YET ONE OF YOU IS A DEVIL!” ◄ Matthew 26:24 ► New International Version The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.( But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man!) It would be better for him if he had not been born.” Saying it would have been better if he had never been born , Is like saying he is not going to be in HEAVEN. Or how ever you want to put it. WHEN JUDAS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SHARING THE GOSPEL, CASTING OUT DEMONS, AND HEALING THE SICK. HE WAS GETTING HIS HUSTLE ON.↙️ 14Then one of the Twelve-the one called Judas Iscariot-went to the chief priests 15and asked, “WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE ME IF I DELIVER HIM OVER TO YOU?” So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. 16From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over. Yes, I agree that Judas was a disciple of Christ, but so we're many . English Standard Version john 6:64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) English Standard Version JOHN 6:65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” English Standard Version JOHN 6:66 After this many of (HIS DISCIPLES) turned back and no longer walked with him. MANY OF HIS DISCIPLES FELL AWAY. A true believer is saved for all eternity. TRUE BELIEVERS DO NOT TURN BACK. N I V, THE FATHER'S HAND. 1 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; NO ONE CAN SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY FATHER’S ’s HAND. KJ V THE SON'S HAND. 2 I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND K J V THE HOLYSPIRIT'S TEMPLE 3 What? know ye not THAT YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST WHICH IS IN YOU, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? ( TRIPLE SECURITY, ) ( TRIUNE SECURITY, ) ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED. King James Bible For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. The true believer will truly believe. The one who stops believing never TRULY believed. ACTS 16:29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? AND THEY SAID, BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED, King James Bible For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: King James Bible Not of works, lest any man should boast. The bible clearly talks about 1.(ENDURANCE ) King James Bible But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. The bible clearly talks about 2.(Continuing to believe) New Living Translation It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you-unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place. The bible clearly talks about 3.(Perseverance) New International Version You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. CONTINUING TO BELIEVE ENDURANCE, AND PERSEVERANCE. How BY OUR STREGNTH OR BY GOD'S STREGNTH . IF IT IS BY OUR STREGNTH IT IS A WORKS DOCTRINE. IF BY GOD'S STREGNTH IT IS BECAUSE HE IS THE SAVIOR. Yes the TRUE believer will do these THINGS BUT NOT TO STAY SAVED BUT BECAUSE HE IS SAVED THE TRUE BELIEVER IS SECURE IN WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR HIM, THOMAS ALSO GETS SENT OUT TO DO THE WORKS, BUT AFTER THE RESURRECTION HE CLEARLY STATED THAT HE DIDN'T BELIEVE. THOMAS DOUBTED EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING, The only DIFFERENCE IS THOMAS CAME TO THE FAITH, HE BELIEVED. English Standard Version john 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

Saved or not, if God has a purpose for someone, it will be done. Just ask Jonah. Judas had a vital part to play. Jesus had to die on that cross for all of us and Judas had to help get him there. Mankind's only hope for Salvation depended on it. After re-reading this, I clearly overstated the importance of Judus' role. The Crucifixion was going to happen with or without his involvement.

Jonas still made the decision to go back and preach, after God upset his world. God very seldom interferes in our choices, but he can twist our arms until we change our direction. Paul life changed on the road to Damascus, due to Jesus interfering in n his plans. Paul encounter with Jesus made him real, so his mindset was changed to choose to do God' will. God gave us all a free will to be like him, so he doesn't override it, but can make it very unpleasant do to wrong choices. Read Genesis 3&4 on how God served up consequences due to our choices.

Judas is the most important follower of jesus. He had the courage to carry out jesus' command to him so that jesus could perform the ultimate miracle to most effectively bring back mans love and respect to God. Sadly, people see this as betrayal. But actually jesus wanted him to do so so the word could come true. He commited suicide because of the pain of the mission jesus told him to do was so intense. Judas loved jesus, out of the 12 he was the one chosen. Not his fault... not 1 of the 12 knew about judas' mission..

Jesus knew Judas would betray Him but did not command Judas to betray Himself. This was not a mission from God Judas had free will and it was not courage that Judas showed, but weakness and sinfulness. Unfortunately Judas gave into temptation and chose to betray Jesus. If Judas chose not to betray Jesus, Jesus would still have died for our sins, just through another means.

This shows the compassion and level of power and Forgiveness and love our Lord has for us. Our God is so amazing he would rather suffer and die for his children. This is our Lord. Paul calls the Antichrist the 'son of perdition', same expression used by our Lord to call Judas. It means there is a subtil and deep connexion between the Antichrist and Judas... but, as you mentioned it, Judas was an apostle chosen by the Lord himself, who cast out demons, healed people, prey, etc. The Antichrist will not be an atheist or a Muslim, but a true believer, maybe a Jew by birth, like Judas, and obviously a Christian who betray our Lord, in a mysterious way. Judas was a Christian and a demon in disguise, exactly what the Antichrist will be.

Judas Iscariot Judas Iscariot, the twelfth apostle, was chosen by Nathaniel. He was born in Kerioth, a small town in southern Judea. When he was a lad, his parents moved to Jericho, where he lived and had been employed in his father’s various business enterprises until he became interested in the preaching and work of John the Baptist. Judas’s parents were Sadducees, and when their son joined John’s disciples, they disowned him. When Nathaniel met Judas at Tarichea, he was seeking employment with a fish-drying enterprise at the lower end of the Sea of Galilee. He was thirty years of age and unmarried when he joined the apostles. He was probably the best-educated man among the twelve and the only Judean in the Master’s apostolic family. Judas had no outstanding trait of personal strength, though he had many outwardly appearing traits of culture and habits of training. He was a good thinker but not always a truly honest thinker. Judas did not really understand himself; he was not really sincere in dealing with himself. Andrew appointed Judas treasurer of the twelve, a position which he was eminently fitted to hold, and up to the time of the betrayal of his Master he discharged the responsibilities of his office honestly, faithfully, and most efficiently. There was no special trait about Jesus which Judas admired above the generally attractive and exquisitely charming personality of the Master. Judas was never able to rise above his Judean prejudices against his Galilean associates; he would even criticize in his mind many things about Jesus. Him whom eleven of the apostles looked upon as the perfect man, as the “one altogether lovely and the chiefest among ten thousand,” this self-satisfied Judean often dared to criticize in his own heart. He really entertained the notion that Jesus was timid and somewhat afraid to assert his own power and authority. Judas was a good business man. It required tact, ability, and patience, as well as painstaking devotion, to manage the financial affairs of such an idealist as Jesus, to say nothing of wrestling with the helter-skelter business methods of some of his apostles. Judas really was a great executive, a farseeing and able financier. And he was a stickler for organization. None of the twelve ever criticized Judas. As far as they could see, Judas Iscariot was a matchless treasurer, a learned man, a loyal (though sometimes critical) apostle, and in every sense of the word a great success. The apostles loved Judas; he was really one of them. He must have believed in Jesus, but we doubt whether he really loved the Master with a whole heart. The case of Judas illustrates the truthfulness of that saying: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is death.” It is altogether possible to fall victim to the peaceful deception of pleasant adjustment to the paths of sin and death. Be assured that Judas was always financially loyal to his Master and his fellow apostles. Money could never have been the motive for his betrayal of the Master. Judas was an only son of unwise parents. When very young, he was pampered and petted; he was a spoiled child. As he grew up, he had exaggerated ideas about his self-importance. He was a poor loser. He had loose and distorted ideas about fairness; he was given to the indulgence of hate and suspicion. He was an expert at misinterpretation of the words and acts of his friends. All through his life Judas had cultivated the habit of getting even with those whom he fancied had mistreated him. His sense of values and loyalties was defective. To Jesus, Judas was a faith adventure. From the beginning the Master fully understood the weakness of this apostle and well knew the dangers of admitting him to fellowship. But it is the nature of the Sons of God to give every created being a full and equal chance for salvation and survival. Jesus wanted not only the mortals of this world but the onlookers of innumerable other worlds to know that, when doubts exist as to the sincerity and wholeheartedness of a creature’s devotion to the kingdom, it is the invariable practice of the Judges of men fully to receive the doubtful candidate. The door of eternal life is wide open to all; “whosoever will may come”; there are no restrictions or qualifications save the faith of the one who comes. This is just the reason why Jesus permitted Judas to go on to the very end, always doing everything possible to transform and save this weak and confused apostle. But when light is not honestly received and lived up to, it tends to become darkness within the soul. Judas grew intellectually regarding Jesus’ teachings about the kingdom, but he did not make progress in the acquirement of spiritual character as did the other apostles. He failed to make satisfactory personal progress in spiritual experience. Judas became increasingly a brooder over personal disappointment, and finally he became a victim of resentment. His feelings had been many times hurt, and he grew abnormally suspicious of his best friends, even of the Master. Presently he became obsessed with the idea of getting even, anything to avenge himself, yes, even betrayal of his associates and his Master. But these wicked and dangerous ideas did not take definite shape until the day when a grateful woman broke an expensive box of incense at Jesus’ feet. This seemed wasteful to Judas, and when his public protest was so sweepingly disallowed by Jesus right there in the hearing of all, it was too much. That event determined the mobilization of all the accumulated hate, hurt, malice, prejudice, jealousy, and revenge of a lifetime, and he made up his mind to get even with he knew not whom; but he crystallized all the evil of his nature upon the one innocent person in all the sordid drama of his unfortunate life just because Jesus happened to be the chief actor in the episode which marked his passing from the progressive kingdom of light into that self-chosen domain of darkness. The Master many times, both privately and publicly, had warned Judas that he was slipping, but divine warnings are usually useless in dealing with embittered human nature. Jesus did everything possible, consistent with man’s moral freedom, to prevent Judas’s choosing to go the wrong way. The great test finally came. The son of resentment failed; he yielded to the sour and sordid dictates of a proud and vengeful mind of exaggerated self-importance and swiftly plunged on down into confusion, despair, and depravity. Judas then entered into the base and shameful intrigue to betray his Lord and Master and quickly carried the nefarious scheme into effect. During the outworking of his anger-conceived plans of traitorous betrayal, he experienced moments of regret and shame, and in these lucid intervals he faintheartedly conceived, as a defense in his own mind, the idea that Jesus might possibly exert his power and deliver himself at the last moment. When the sordid and sinful business was all over, this renegade mortal, who thought lightly of selling his friend for thirty pieces of silver to satisfy his long-nursed craving for revenge, rushed out and committed the final act in the drama of fleeing from the realities of mortal existence-suicide. The eleven apostles were horrified, stunned. Jesus regarded the betrayer only with pity. The worlds have found it difficult to forgive Judas, and his name has become eschewed throughout a far-flung universe. Ref. The Urantia Book

Consider that Jesus, the night he was betrayed, said: * you are my friends IF you do what I say. John 15:14 * you will remain in me and I in you, IF you continue obeying me. John 15:9-10 John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

My Dad always thought that Judas believed that Jesus would simply obliterate His enemies. He was trying to force His hand. This makes more sense after everything Judas saw that he would betray Jesus. He should have known that Jesus has His own plan and timing and this was not His way. I've often wondered if this is part of the reason the Jewish faith doesn't recognize Jesus as the Messiah. They expected Him to arrive all fire and brimstone.

Judas was the most intelligent of the disciples. He was a close friend and shared council with Jesus. We know this from Jesus in John 13 vs 18 when talking of Judas betrayal quotes Psalm 41 vs 9 where David is talking of Ahithophel's betrayal. Jesus always quotes for a purpose. Ahithophel's council to David was like one directly from God. Ahithophel was a close friend of King David where they walked through the market place together and shared ideas like peers. My own parent's had me detained by the cops to be put under suicide supervision in an attempt to stop using drugs. Yes, they lied to the cops. The cops gave my parents my backpack instead of taking it so I wouldn't be charged. They were understanding and said as long as I complied and had no needles in my pockets that may stab them during the body search. I was honest and said no. Even if they had been disrespectful, I truly didn't want anyone to poke themselves with an unknown drug user's needle on a simple call. I hurt so many people during my dark days. However, God knew that wasn't the case and, in Jesus' name, eventually cut the chain that had me locked to heroin. Heroin had locked on my body with a study and pkwerful grip. At 11pm, I called them and said, "I'm out. The police found nothing insinuating I was suicidal. I have forgiven them both for going to such lengths to get me detained; even if jt meant lying to the to police; and it will forever leave a sour taste in mouth. Christ forgave Judas. I experienced the fear my parents and friends experienced. I was shocked how frightening every second of that life feels. I may have been using but my loved ones were expecting a call that I died every second. My two oldest friends showed that to me. Fear that my oldest friend would die and fear that it could happen at any moment and seconds were ticking. God definetely put me on the other shoe. I was praying and praying and I got one blurry picture. The fact we found him was a miracle. People have seen the photo and still have no clue how my other friend and I figured out where it was. We were praying and 15 minutes later I was out of the house at 4am. Even if I didn't find him, I'd never be able to live with myself if I didn't at least try. That drugs almost killed me so many times I refused to let another friend die, even if it was another way. The fact he survived was a miracle. He td me that he must have purpose because he should've died. I think it was the first time he experienced God's protection and grace in his life. He's been doing better. I don't hold anything against my parents. The iv set is one of my greatest fears up to this day. I can't even see one on TV. It was definetely an experience and I've never been closer to God. I'm going off course; but, I understand everyones' point of view as close as I'll ever understand. As a result, I can read when somebody needs help through their eyes. I help those in need of hope. I can't handle it which is why I let The Holy Spirit speak. I don't hope, but know, that they're all doing better. I look ten years older than I am as a result. It's fine. Thank you both. The ninth point is when Judas realizes what he did, his heart was full of reMorse, in so much the very 30 pieces of silver that he betrayed the master with ,he went back to the judgment hall and tossed it down,there was so much anguish in his soul that he couldn't live with himself anymore, could it be we will see Judas in heaven, remember God allowed Judas to be used so as to fulfill scripture which say ,they took the 30 peices of silver the price that was priced for him and cast it in the potter's feild,if lord jesus can forgive the thief on the cross who committed murder, don't you think he will forgive Judas who betrayed him,you have to feel what Judas felt when he realized what he did ,he repented, hoho we will have lots of surprises in heaven, don't you think, God bless,

Something to note: since the last supper was a passover seder a tradition would be to dip matzah, lamb, and bitter herbs together. The statement Jesus makes referring to 'whoever dips with me' would have been a confusing statement since they all dipped with him. That is another reason why they all may have questioned themselves. The account does make it clear that Jesus does dip with Judah specifically. Also the culture at the time could have been to dip bread or matzah in many different items like middle eastern and/or Indian cultures do today.

Couple of things on Judas I’ve noticed. This was before Pentecost, he did not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was not sealed. He was deputized for missions and would be the same as Saul or Balaam when performing the aforementioned miracles signs and wonders. Sons of Sceva were also successful to a certain degree at performing deliverance work until they got in over there head. I think Judas got tired of the fight. It’s what is happening with many today. Can you imagine the oppression he felt being that close to Jesus everyday. The familiarity and level of comfort he had with the man everyone was worshiping. I think he took it for granted, and lost his edge. Then, the only difference between him and Peter was he refused to forgive himself. He exalted his betrayal above the forgiveness of Jesus, something none of us get to do. The scripture was fulfilled with the betrayal even down to the amount he sold him out for, correct me if I’m wrong however, no where was it written until post-mortem that he was dammed. 🤷‍♂️

@Churchofthelostsheep
@Churchofthelostsheep 2 жыл бұрын
@@Perririri Good question. I was only referencing the “dunamis” power of the Holy Spirit. That was something only specific individuals like prophets, and Judges operated in when the power of the Holy Ghost would come upon them. Think of the Old Testament when Saul was told to go to such and such place, and wait for the Spirit of the Lord to start prophesying.👉“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.” ‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭10:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ (He did not have this all of the time) This is something completely different than salvation which is what the thief on the cross received and Old Testament believers found in Abraham’s bosom also received. We will see many of the Old Testament believers (Jews) in heaven that were under the old covenant. The baptism of the Holy Spirit, only after the day of Pentecost, did a believer receive the seal of the Holy Spirit and only when they were specifically baptized in the Holy Spirit. There are several different types of baptisms and I would encourage you to seek it out on your walk with the Lord (“But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭12:31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬). We are to covet the good gifts of God and earnestly seek them out. Going to heaven is not the full inheritance God has planned for you or any believer. That’s just the beginning. He wants us to continue to grow, and we’re going to for the rest of eternity, God willing! I hope this helps… God bless

I think a lot of people miss that Judas' betrayal was part of God's plan. Jesus was meant to die for us in the way he died. Judas played a key role in that.

I read the prophesy of Judas's betrayal a bit different. I read it as both a prophesy and a command. I think Jesus wanted to turn himself into the authorities, chose Judas, and was explaining how Judas should "betray" him. Betray might even be a translation error. I think the apostles though Jesus would only get a mild punishment, while Jesus already knew how events would play out.

Jesus knew that he would become the firstborn of the dead and was sick and tired of all the misunderandings about the Words of God, even among his closest disciples. As he complained to his heavenly father: How long do I have to stay among such a treacherous and hypocritical generation? God let not sacrifice Abraham his son Isaak for good, but God sacrificed his own son for better. 🍷💘

He was chosen by Jesus, Judas had a purpose in order for Jesus to fulfill our Heavenly Father plan. I believe we all have a bit of Judas in us, because it’s the presence of sin that illness that causes all of us to fall short of the kingdom of God. I believe that Judas was forgiven and is with our Heavenly Father today. He took his life out of remorse he was deeply in pain for betraying Jesus. Our god is merciful and he loves us.

"The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born." - Jesus Christ (Mark 14.16)

@@tinkerinjones6604 it’s Mark 14:21 But every disciple betrayed Jesus Christ, because if they had truly believed that he was the son of God they wouldn’t have ran. It wasn’t until Jesus rose and appeared to them that they truly believed Jesus was the Son of God and then they were willing to die for him and do Gods work. I know Judas betrayed Jesus but he felt remorse and we don’t know what he last moments were only Jesus.

@@tinkerinjones6604 correct, I truly understand that. I am just saying we don’t know Judas heart before he took his life. Nothing in the Bible says that. Ultimately we are judged by God for what is in our hear. Which should be love the lord your God with all your heart and soul. Love you neighbor. But thank you for your input I believe one should be able to discuss our biblical understanding without one getting upset. I pareciste your comments greatly

@@jeannettediaz6836 You are, in fact, contradicting the Bible. Jesus told Pilate that the one who betrayed him would receive the greater punishment. Judas killed himself, which is what happens when someone gives Satan complete control over them. You need to stop putting your words above the words of Christ.

This is a topic that troubles me. Mark 14:21 says "The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born." So due to Jesus love and that Judas was chosen to commit this act, was he condemned to Hell or was in included in Jesus's "Forgive them, they know not what they do." ?

Like most others Judas wanted Yeshua/Jesus to be the conquering Jewish king in their lifetime. Judas thought by "turning Him in" Jesus/Yeshua would, in the face of His arrest, rise up. And we see the horror and despair Judas experienced when he realized he had just betrayed his friend and wasn't the hero spurring on the conquering king. This is a lesson showing what happens when we do things our way and not God's way.
