Brandon, you have absolutely no idea what almost happened when i shot out the bathroom after hearing that glass breaking noise.. Boss man "Compression" and "Limiter" on your video editor is your viewers best friend lol. Ey man, great content regardless! Love this stuff. Hey I don't want to contribute all the time, i want to share directly with you, how can I reach out to you? I don't need to ask a hundred questions or anything, just like to chat it up and share some things I feel you can give to the viewers.

@@brandonthefreightbroker All good my friend, keep up the good work. Looking forward to working with y'all as a Carrier. Believe it or not, you have helped me ALOT with the launch of our company and my confidence in dispatching my driver, having never done it before 😁 We've got a ways to go before we meet your authority requirements, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. Watch for WayPoint out of Perry, GA. We're here to make a difference ❤️

As a carrier based on 100,000 miles a year and let's say that I have a fixed cost of about 75 cents a mile and fuel right now is about a dollar a mile. So that's a minimum of $1.75 a mile just to break even with me as the driver. I try to make about $90,000 a year for myself so I need an average rate of about $2.65 a mile to achieve that goal. When the market was good I could get about $4.50 to $5 a mile going into the Northeast and about 2.25 to 2.50 coming out. I just booked a load from Pennsylvania to North Carolina for a$ 2.93 a mile. The initial offer rate was about $1.53 per mile. I told the broker what I needed to be able to maintain my equipment and to make a decent living and this is the rate I got. So as a broker I hope you take all these factors into consideration when you're giving a rate to a shipper. We do need you guys and we want you to make a good profit but don't try to get rich on the backs of the truckers. I've had several shippers tell me that they would rather deal with one or two brokers rather than a hundred different trucking companies. God bless you and I hope everybody stays profitable.

The person that controls the rate it's the truck today a broker wanted to pay me$2 a mile I'm waiting to the last minute and pushed it to 415 a mile 3 + a mile for over 1000 4+ a mile for less 1000 miles

Thank you for this perspective! Will always keep this in mind! We all want best for our families.

Always put a good rate for your truck If you're good truck driver you could do that most brokers not going to work with you but you do not want to work with most brokers or shippers 320 in miles do not go lower if you do you're just making them more money

Great content as always. I have a simple question. How should one actually go about SENDING the rate quote to the shipper. Is a email sufficient or is there a more formal form going to be expected
