I met Onyx at their “Shut’em Down” CD signing. Fredro was the first to arrive. As soon as he got out the car after his driver opened the door, he stood there and pulled out his cellphone while completely ignoring the screaming fans. Keep in mind this was 1998, so my guess is that there was nobody on the other end of the call and that he was showboating. He continued ignoring his fans on his way into the record store. Sticky arrived next, and just said “what’s up” in a non-thrilled tone while mean-muggin’. Finally, Sonee Seeza threw up the “peace” sign while smiling. Fredro and Sticky could learn some humility from Sonny.

To be fair, according to an interview with Bruce Williams (the dude Suge and Pac spread rumours about Dre secretly fucking), Suge caused a lot of bullshit, but also kept a lot of bullshit away from the label: There was no jealousy and no petty shit. Or, at the very least, jealousy couldn't thrive as well in his environment. But when Dre left and started Aftermath, that label had a lot of petty shit going on behind the scenes, because everyone was fighting to get close to Dre and be his right hand man (the Snoop/Eminem position). The way Suge and Dre both presided over their label sounds like it was polar opposites. So it might have been different but not necessary any better. If that guy's assessment is correct, that is.
