The teleporters in Genshin were partially explained in the Chasm quest with Dainsleif. Dainsleif said the abysmal portals are some form of interconnected web with set end points but you can be dropped at any of them if you don't get the right directions. Paimon said it's the same with the teleporter network.

the waypoint is unrelated to abyss network, dainlief can use the abyss portal, but he can't use the waypoint. the waypoint are created by celestia which is not accessible to being from teyvat, and if the speculation is correct that celestia are descenders, it would make sense that celestia equipment that are build for themselves(who are descenders) to use, could be used by the traveler. this actually implies celestia and travelers may share a same source/homeworld. only that celestia found teyvat a long time ago and decided to colonise it, displacing the dragons and creating a new human civilisation to maintain their order...

@@lagrangewei I never said the teleporters are the same as the abyss portals. Paimon told us that they function on the same network system where they're an interconnected web with set intersection points. And it's heavily implied the teleporters are left over from the unified civilization, not Celestia. This is why they are all corrupted and need to be purified by the traveler by touching it similar to Divalin's tears. Note that the only things we see that shade of red tend to be corrupted. It can even be argued the Sustainer may also have been corrupted as the celestial pillars all have the same cubes but blue much like the teleporters when purified. As a whole though I'd say caution with predicting things as the in game lore is in flux and Sumeru has suggested that the exact explanations can be hidden by false memories.

Honestly, I believe Alice _is_ a Descender. You just have to watch Wanderer's Collected Miscellany for evidence. Alice narrates it, starts to tell us the beginning of Wanderer's story, then says "I could just *_pretend I don't remember_* what happened after that..." Meaning she _does_ remember Wanderer's true history, which means she's immune to Irminsul's effects, therefore a Descender. That's why she narrates it and not Dainsleif - she still knows who Wanderer is. After hearing her say this, I started thinking back over what we know about Alice. She wrote the Inazuma Teyvat Travel Guide before the war broke out, and in the Tatarasuna section of the book, she writes that she made some alterations to the Mikage Furnace to make it more stable, so that if it became damaged or had sort of a meltdown, the result would not be so catastrophic. Why did she do this? Because the astrologers predicted that the war in Inazuma would happen, and Alice believed that destruction of the Mikage Furnace would potentially spark that war. So she thought if she could prevent a catastrophe at Tatarasuna, the war would not happen. Perhaps she thought she could defy that fate because she's a Descender.

In the Bough Keeper: Dainsleif quest, he even reveals that he knows Rex Lapis handed over his Gnosis as part of a contract. It's doubtful that he was there for any of that, considering he refuses to so much as step foot in a church, let alone be near a god. We still don't fully know _how_ he knows so much, but there's a theory that he knows how to access Irminsul for information. After all, his title is Bough Keeper - keeper of the tree branches. He narrates most of the Collected Miscellany videos because he actually has this information, due to watching the things that go on throughout Teyvat. He even says at the end of Albedo's Collected Miscellany that he usually watches disasters unfold without interfering with them.

No, Bran, you're not wrong. In fact the very term "Seat" has already been used in one other situation, completely unrelated to Celestia. The second "Seat" of heavens. Ascending in Traveler's case possibly means that we'll defeat both celestia and the second seat of heavens and become Teyvat's one true god.

Also there's a bit of a flaw in her reasoning. Teyvat was created in full by Phanes, on top of the world of light that belonged to the Dragon Kings. Phanes came from outside, and so did all the tech Phanes and their Shades built. Meaning, Traveler knowing how to use ancient devices doesn't mean they necessarily came from Teyvat. Rather, Traveler is so old, they probably already ventured through the world where Phanes originally came from, and that would easily allow them to use the teleporters without having any connection whatsoever to Teyvat.

Some of this theory MAY have been disproven by a recent artifact set, Paradise Lost. I need to read it more closely and ensure my understanding is solid, but it may imply that those from outside Teyvat specifically do seem to wield the power to break its rules.

It also seems to imply that King Deshret learning forbidden knowledge is not the first time that forbidden knowledge was introduced to Teyvat. From what I can tell, Paradise Lost tells us this: - The Seelies were the envoys of Celestia that the silver tiara artifacts tell us about. The Tiara of Frost outright says "Celestia", so we know the envoys were bringing information from Celestia, not Phanes. - Descenders showed up, bringing destruction and plagues, which sounds an awful lot like bringing forbidden knowledge. They also brought war to the Seelies. But they also brought "illusions that could break through shackles to the land." Celestia became scared of these "breakthroughs" and sent "divine nails" to fix it, "laying waste to the mortal realm." The Seelies were then stripped of their connection to heaven. -- Keep in mind, this is the Goddess of Flowers telling King Deshret what happened. Deshret died thousands of years ago, and the Goddess of Flowers died(?) earlier than he did. So this is not the Cataclysm from 500 years ago. - The Goddess of Flowers warned King Deshret not to seek "the Master of the Four Shades" (Phanes) or the answers to the mysteries of the sky and the abyss, or else calamity would follow. But the artifact says Deshret "disagreed with the warnings". - If I'm understanding correctly, the Goddess of Flowers eventually gave in to what Deshret wanted, helped him learn the forbidden knowledge, regarded his actions as a secret rebellion, and told him that the hope in this world would be carried on by the ordinary humans who would continue on after his punishment. She taught him the forbidden knowledge, everything about the skies and the abyss, and he returned from the sandstorms while she did not. - Also, Desert Pavilion's goblet artifact says that there was an "ancient paradise where the divine needle fell". The wording is a bit confusing, especially when combined with the sands piece of Paradise Lost, and I can't tell if the Celestial Nail created the Eternal Oasis or if King Deshret did. But Paradise Lost mentions he used "the gems beneath the deep sands as a power source and the aid of the Jinn" to build an oasis. These "gems" could be Celestial Nail fragments, considering the Nails are referred to as being made of crystal, though this is probably a leap in logic on my part. -- Though, the circlet piece of the Gilded Dreams set says that "The first divine pillar descended from the skies, burying tree and meadow under the flowing sands." This tells us that the Celestial Nail in Sumeru was the first one to drop, and it may imply that the Nail _is_ what created the Eternal Oasis, but it's underground. It being underground, buried beneath the sands, would explain why no one throughout history has been able to find it.

@@RandomGirl119 following up on this in the wake of 3.4, given the artifact's phrasing of "searched in vain for the paradise where the divine needle fell," I think Deshret was unable to find said paradise, as it and the needle were both buried. However, he was able to harness the now fragmented nail. The nail being fragmented may also explain why odd time phenomena have appeared in other places (like what happened with Faruzan). They may have shifted under the sands and spread to different areas.

6:00 I think it works like a web. You just stand in a room which has multiple doors and labels on them, and you choose the door to open a location to which you want to go. For making things more efficient, they did not obligate the players to go to nearest the waypoints all the time, instead, they just gave the flexibility to choose waypoints without touching one of them to activate.

I am still concerned with the potential that Teyvat is at least partially digital. If this theory is correct, it should play a pretty significant role in our understanding of all of this because of how Irminsul is part of that digital aspect. "Teyvat is a simulation" was one of the earliest theories after the Unreconciled Stars event of 1.1 told us the sky is fake. After all, when you use elemental sight, the ground has a grid pattern made of dots, and when you open the Character menu, for a brief second there's a pulse that shows a larger grid pattern consisting of lines. We didn't have a whole lot of basis for the "simulation" theory at the time, as far as I remember, so I didn't expect this idea to make a comeback. But then Nahida came out... We initially thought her normal attack chain was her playing hopscotch, but I found it odd that the squares are spaced so far apart. In hopscotch, the squares are supposed to be connected to each other. Nahida's squares are spaced so far apart that her tiny legs can't hope to jump from one to the next. But if you slow down the animation and focus on where she's jumping, you realize the spot she's jumping on is a 3D construct that she's mashing down - a 3D construct in the shape of a key cap from a keyboard. Pair this with her charged attack, where she spawns a mouse pointer and then essentially clicks and drags to select the enemies. Her burst field also creates a grid formation on the ground, this time produced by her symbol instead of dots. Nahida is a piece of Irminsul. Irminsul, as we know, gathers and stores information from all of Teyvat, and this information that it stores is reflected on Teyvat itself, influencing all knowledge, both mental and physical. Because that's the thing, Irminsul can only change knowledge, not reality. The closest it can get to changing reality is changing things like books and notes - physical forms of knowledge. Go back to the dialogue in Inversion of Genesis, specifically when we approach Irminsul and then when we follow Scaramouche to the heart of Irminsul. Before we enter, Nahida warns that Irminsul is full of "torrents of information", and inside, Scaramouche calls the tiny trees that appear in there "packets of information." Torrents and packets are terms associated with files and data in computers and the internet.

To be honest, it's not just the Dragonspine ruins. That style of ruin is present all over Teyvat, even in Inazuma. It uses a specific floor and ceiling tile, brick flooring and pathways with Celtic knot designs faintly etched into it, circular doorways, the triquetra symbol, the quarternary knot, specific style of pillars, and other Celtic knot designs. Even the "arenas" that the Hypostases spawn in bear this design theme, same with the "arenas" for the Aeonblight Drake and Oceanid. Though, the Oceanid has no connection to the ruin she resides on.

I do believe that aether (or lumine, if you play "canon") is FROM outside, a descender too, but he is also from Teyvat, just like in our world someone can be from the united states by official reasons but at the same time be FROM Honduras, the place they were born in. I believe it will end up being that rather than someone altering our memories to remember our brother when he wasn't with us on the sea of stars.

Considering the existence of the Omni element in TCG that is capable of being used for any element. It’s more likely that the traveler is the Omni Archon. Capable of using multiple elements would then make sense if that was the case.

One thing about the Omni element is that in Chinese, it's called something that sounds very... Game-like. Like, the term sounds fine within the context of the TCG game, but would sound weird if actually used to refer to a natural phenomena. Kind of like how you wouldn't call your health "HP". So while the fact that an "Omni element" concept exists at all is interesting, I doubt that something like "Omni archon" would exist. It really would be wild if both siblings ARE from teyvat but from the Old World where everything was connected and then they went away or were taken away and then came back. Or since they could both be descenders, and are connected to being angels which can also represent stars, then we could introduce the idea that things in space move at a different rate than here on Earth. And they had been falling for a long time and arrived when the Second ruling of the world was already in place (Celestia's ruling) and of course we know our sibling woke up before us and was in Khaenri'ah.

My theory is that Aether/Lumine is the archon of Khaenri’ah and in the first cutscene they’re fighting against Celestia for their people right around the time of the great archon war and was cast back to Teyvat, then their information was erased from Irumensui, Lumine woke up before the complete destruction of Khaeri’ah as the unknown God descended upon Khaeri’ah and called the archons to her aid. It’s also explains why the Dendro archon had to stay behind at Irumensui to make sure the twins information were erased. This could also imply that the Dendro Archon was a first ally as they would be the only ones able to restore portions of out memory and manipulate it, and may be the one to give our siblings back their memories and to be the one obscuring their fate to protect us from the gods and the archons who wish us harm. It also explains why the traveller’s memory was changed but bits and pieces still remain.

It could also be that the second and third defenders are the travelers parents and they possibly left before giving birth to the twins. After being born the abyss twin came back to Tyvat and witnessed the destruction of k’hanria while the other twin was in a sum what of a hibernation state

It's a solid theory. After reading ''Before the Sun and Moon'' I've always held the belief that the Traveler ( specifically Aether ) was the Primordial One. The reason why is because Phanes is speculated to be the identity of the Primordial One and Phanes is discribed as an Androgynous character. For anyone that doesn't know Androgynous basically means someone has both male and female characteristics. A good example would be actress Ruby Rose. In this case Aether qualifies perfectly. He's male but just like Venti he's got feminine characteristics because he wears an earing and his hair is very long. He doesn't have any strong defined masculine features. It's also stated that Phanes had wings and a crown and we've seen this with the twins. They had wings and in the Battlepass story we see two heirs wearing crowns. So it wouldn't surprise me if Aether/Lumine end up both being a personifcation of one of the Shades of Phanes. It would stand to reason that Phanes would create these Shades in his imagine. It is said that Phanes created four SHINING Shades of itself and we know that Gold can shine and we know that the twins are considered golden based on their outfits and hair color.

It might be a bit of a stretch but maybe the "Kings" are like emperors from Chinese culture who convinced their subjects that the emperors themselves were dragons so that the people wouldn't try to defy them. Hey, Bran! I think I agree with your take on the whole "we're might ascend to the godhood and try to take them down" because... Teyvat's History is cyclical. Now, how did Teyvat started? Well, with the primordial one descending into the world and defeating the SEVEN dragons who ruled the world and then created Teyvat. And well... What we're doing as the traveler who descended from another world is traveling throught the, again, Seven nations of Teyvat and gaining control over each element (and supposedly as shown by the abyss twin, regaining our original power). But our objectives are: 1- Reunite with our Twin and Leave Teyvat 2- Find the Unknown God who trapped us here in the first place. I believe that after we regain our powers, we will fight the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles (And maybe the Seven Archons by their will or Celestia orders) and supposedly defeat it. But defeating the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, could metaphorically also mean ending the idea of the Heavenly Principles (since there's no one else to sustain it anymore), Therefore, destroying the rules of this world and giving light to a new one. Is basically History repeating itself once more. (also that does not count in the theory but based on the many friends we made, I believe the traveler will want to stay in Teyvat with their twin and made it their new home).

I still believe that the Travelers are both Phanes, the primordial one. This theorist references Christianity a lot, but people seem to often forget the Greek mythos. The very elements of the world are from Greek (latin), and so are the names of the higher, "descending" gods (so far it seems only the archons native to Teyvat are named after the demons of Goetia, not those of Celestia, so if we want to determine descenders, we should probably look at Greek myths, instead of Abrahamic ones imo). In Greek myths, Phanes was the original ruler of the universe, and the primordial one. HIS name means "light bringer". And he is described to have been beautiful, androgynous, with golden wings. More notably, Phanes is described to have the characteristics of both a male and female. A golden deity of light, male and female? Hmm... Sounds familiar. xD I believe that Phanes became the twins after whatever happened with the second who came. Perhaps he was defeated, or something else made him split into the twins, "Heaven", his male aspect, and "Light", his female aspect. They had no memories of what happened, but one eventually ended up in Khaenriah. The other twin will travel Teyvat, and realize what is going on, and who they are, and that they must fight against the gods who usurped their throne, and destroyed their people (Khaenriah, which would also explain why the Abyss are so loyal to the twin). The comparison to Lucifer just doesn't make sense to me. Because Phanes is the primordial one, he highest god. If the twins were his shades, or "angels", how can they be compared to Lucifer, unless THEY tried to overthrow Phanes? Lucifer was prideful and arrogant, not to mention envious of humans, because HE wanted to rule Eden. That doesn't fit the twins. The primordial god, as well as Enkanomiya, the only place with info about the former world, that even Irminsul couldn't change, all are associated with Greek mythology. I think bringing up Abrahamic faith was a mistake here. The name of the game "Genshin" means "primordial god", or "original god". The fact that this is the title of the game points to the primordial one being way more important to the story than he appears to be currently. So, perhaps it's because the "primordial one" was there all along?

One thing about the "Omni element" is that there's some differences between the localized term "Omni" and term used in Chinese "wan nen". Firstly, there's no problem with the translation. "Omni" is a great term to characterize a "wild card element". However, there's still some nuanced differences that I think are important to know. In English, Omni sounds like it could be used as a formal term, hence the flurry of speculation about an "Omni element" in the English speaking community. If there were something like "an archon of HP", they'd more likely be archon of "life" or "blood". You wouldn't be calling it an "HP element". So, while the existence of the "Omni element" exists in the context of the TCG game as a convenient way to represent a wild card element, I have a feeling that "Omni element" or "Omni archon" doesn't actually exist in the broader world of Teyvat. But despite the above differences, there's still room for the Omni concept to show up later in the game. After all, the traveler is already established to be able to resonate with all the elements, presumably. The 1st descender was the heavenly principles and I think the elements as a concept isn’t from teyvat because they are the ones who decide if a god becomes an archon. The ascend to seat of god just means they will be god as in god by celestia and celestia is a descender. I’m not good at explaining I hope someone can translate this.

Honestly i can image at the end of genshin while we’re gonna fight the final boss, i can imagine, while fighting, we can change our elements with little to no cooldown. And with the issue of artifacts, considering when we switch elements we would have to change artifacts if we have a certain element DMG% bonus ones. We could most likely have a moment like in Liyue where all the archons give us their power, or maybe a far fetched theory, the 7 sovereign. But as i said thats too far fetched honestly. And considering the main power archons have is from the gnosis, or more specifically how much their people believe in them etc etc. We all know that every gnosis has been taken from the Fatui like Pokemon, soo im not so sure abt that. Although maybe if we can switch to elements in real fights, perhaps Hoyo “builds” the traveler with their 4pc Nobless 😂

Gonna do a theory dump here: Zhongli aka Rex Lapis aka Morax is one of the old dragon kings. We know he's at least 6000-something years old but he could very well be much older. He knows an insane amount of things, even mundane things which imo you wouldn't really be interested in unless you've already gotten a lot of knowledge on the more interesting things already. He is a *DRAGON*. When you name Wanderer the only name which is fully unavailable to even suggest is Morax. Morax (can also be read as Marax) is a demon, as well as the twenty-first spirit mentioned in the Lesser Key of Solomon, and oh my! Isn't Solomon discussed already in Genshin lore? Yes it is. Morax/Marax is also known for taking different forms, like a bull or a *beautiful woman.* In the Rex Incognito books we find out Rex Lapis has previously taken the form of a *beautiful woman.* Marax is also known for sharing knowledge about herbs and stones with people he is pleased with, as well as liberal science, something our dear Zhongli also frequently does. Another fun fact that you can gladly take with a big grain of salt if you so wish is that in order to summon the demon Morax, you need an incense called Dragons Blood. Maybe it's important, maybe not, but we are able to Teleport from Any place Only to Teleport points, not vice versa, we can't teleport where ever we want, only if there is an Exit place in ley lines, so it's like Traveler can connect to ley lines everywhere to move to a Specific Exit place connected to ley lines.

If you look at Scaramouche aka Wanderer’s wrists, you can see they have a ball of light like a ball jointed doll and is a puppet. If you compare Travelers wrist, he has a matching ball of like almost exactly like Scaramouche. My theory is that Traveler is a puppet like Scaramouche. That Lumine created Aether (Like Ei the electro archon created the puppets). Could Lumine want her puppet to experience the world like she did, so that he understands her but she didn’t think his experience would be so drastically different. Could Paimon have wiped her own memory but is the master puppet of the world trying to guide the traveler?

The part where you talked about one of the seelies falling in love with a human reminded me of a story ive heard of Lilith, one of the angel in the bible (or so ive heard) falling in love with a human only to be casted out or killed and causing the Heaven war between Lucifer and God. Im not Christian nor am i religious so i could be wrong about this story. Also pretty sure people put this together before already but it just came to mind. Also Lucifer being the bringer of light and dark would correspond to the colours of the traveller. And i have also heard in some stories that Lucifer was Gods most favorable angel and most dissapointing soldier. Lucifer was then sent to hell to keep order of sinfull souls and demons as punishment and to do Gods work. This is yet from somewhere that i dont remember hearing so take all this with a grain of salt.

What i want to know about is something that i havent heard anyone speak about even if it is obvious: are we going to meet a new harbinger?? One that for obvious reasons wasnt in signora's funeral. Because scaramouche deleted himself, and so, he "never" was a harbinger to begin with. This leaves a spot open on the eleven harbingers that in theory still exists unlike signora who was killed. Keep in mind one thing about Before Sun and Moon, and what Nahida mentioned. Nahida mentioned that in order to save the information about Wanderer, she needed to make everything in her fairy tale an allegory. Thus, all the names, “dragons”, and figures in the Before Sun and Moon book may not be the same as we think. They could ALL be allegories for something else. Dragon Kings, for example, could essentially mean “Archons”. There were seven of them, after all. Original One, could allude to Sustainer, and she once battled the “seven Old Archons.” We don’t exactly know what alludes to what. It’s all guessing right now. Even the title. Before “Sun” and “Moon”, could also be an allegory of some sort. In Wanderer’s fairy tale, Moon was considered god or Archon or something similar, after all. Thus, many fairy tale books in Teyvat may actually end up being more credible than history records. Wild.

@@lagrangewei thing is, we don’t know what is or isn’t accurate anymore. Any history book could have been rewritten with the changes of Irminsul. Fairy tales may actually be more accurate than essays. What we learned from this latest Archon Quest is that history is easily changed, and can’t actually be trusted. We don’t know if Archons existed before Celestia or not, because we don’t know if that info was changed or not. Only what we see can be trusted, meaning anything written from the past that we haven’t seen is untrustworthy. Though I will admit, Dragonkind and Vishaps do exist and Zhongli is technically a thousands of years old dragon. Who knows, he might have even been a Dragon King, or the son of one, although he might still be too young for that. Azhdaha was also a friend of his, and yeah, he didn’t create Azhdaha, if memory serves me right. Before Sun and Moon only tells the tale from Enkanomiya’s perspective and bias, and they don’t know anything of what happened after the battle. Thus, anything after that and before now is still a mystery, slowly being solved.

Enkanomiya had no reason to hide their information behind allegories because they were cast away from Teyvat during the war with the Second Who Came, meaning Celestia was yet to start nailing sources of forbidden knowledge. Additionally, Orobashi was sentenced to death for having read Before Sun and Moon, meaning Celestia recognizes that book as containing explicit forbidden knowledge and is incapable of erasing it from Irminsul (due to Enkanomiya being beyond its reach), choosing to execute people who know about it instead.
