It's a good rumour though. Kyle Walker has one more waning top season in him. Branthwaite is prototypical and can slot in at RCB while Akanji shifts to RB. Walker remains one or two seasons, as option.

What we expect to happen is that within 2 seasons Gvardiol will be nr 1 pick CB next to Dias. Stones will by then be at a different club. Akanji will probably start more games then our perceived nr 1-2 choice and Ake will still be injured about 40% of the time so Yeah now would be a good time to buy the next John Stones and Branthwaite looks really fast and great sliding tackle but his asking price will be off the charts.

Yeah, if we sign him from Everton he will be cheapish & even if he doesn't play a lot, he will play. We'd definitely make money, turning him over anyway

Bottom line in regards to Cancelo he’s just simply not good enough defensively to play for us, if he was anywhere near as good defensively as he is offensively, most of the City fans would be in tears seeing him leave out on a loan last season, but none of it was happening. Couple that with his prior behavioral issues at all of his previous clubs and you get what we are seeing right now.
