BG Nation!!!! What's up y'all, Brantley here... Hope this finds ya'll well... For those of you who don't know, we've had alot goin on here lately... we've got the ACM's comin up, and im not ashamed to remind yall to vote... I speak for myself, my band, and y'all... The BG NATION..., when I say we want to bring this one home!!!
LET'S VOTE OUR ASSES OFF...
Listen to Brantley’s new song “Fire't Up” and current single "What Happens In A Small Town" with Lindsay Ell when you pre-order the new album: brantley.lnk.to...
Stay updated on Brantley:

Join BG Nation: nation.brantle...
We're also looking forward to the Tim Mcgraw tour this summer... AND.... we've been in the studio workin' on the new record, and so far I couldn't be happier with the way it's comin'...I know a lot of y'all are just as excited as I am about having some new songs out there... Soooo...
with that being said... we just got back from our first USO tour... And it was definitely a life-changing experience to say the least... it motivated and inspired me to do somethin' a little bit... Umm... Lets say NOT "industry standard..." Surprise... Surprise...
I wrote a song with Mr. Mike Dekle, and my boy Brian Davis called "One Hell of an Amen..." And most of y'all know me well enough to know I don't sing anything I dont write, and i don't write about anything I don't feel like Ive experienced, or been through with somebody close to me... With that being said, this song references the loss of a US military soldier who was as close to kin to one of my closest friends from my home town... who witnessed his loss first hand while serving in active duty in Iraq... My friend shared the story with me to an extent where I felt like I was right there with him... And inspired me to write more than one song, including this one, about him... The other reference in this song is about the loss of a very dear, long time, and hometown friend of mine... Who we lost to a battle with cancer... In his battle with his disease, he showed more courage and faith than words can say, and it was that courage and faith that inspired me to write the second verse of this song about him... this song is very dear to my heart... that being said, with the inspiration from our USO tour, and for all the support y'all have given me, and being apart of this amazing movement we're in together, I wanted y'all to hear this first... So I'm "leaking" this to y'all... The BG Nation... Without charge, and without permission... as a way of saying thank you, and to give y'all a little preview of the new record... This is just a demo... ( not the final album cut)... So it's a little rough, but feel free to hit the "share" button and send this around...I hope y'all find this song as inspirational as I do... So here ya go... This is "One Hell of an Amen."

My Grandpa was a Veteran of the Navy. He got diagnosed with cancer a couple months ago, and he never let it get to him. He fought so hard. This song makes me think of him and his amazing life. Really is a hell of an amen. Thanks for this song, BG. It's beautiful.

My grandpa battled cancer for nearly 2 years. He was a trooper the whole way through and never left hope. He passed in May of 2013. He was in a hospice home for the last few weeks. He was the type of guy who worked his ass off his whole life, and never looked for anything in return. And I didn't realize it until after he passed, but he was who I really looked up to. He final moments were spent with his pastor from the church he went to for years. He could hardly hear let alone talk. But he said 1 final prayer. After the prayer ended he took two final breaths and he was gone. He wouldn't have wanted to go any other way. I was in school when I found out, My mom pulled me out and before she said a word I knew. I dropped my books and lost it. I turned and hit the locker next to me so hard I put a huge dent in it. The next week after the funeral I found this song... I listened to 8 times before I even realized I had. This song brings me memories no one could ever bring back... I listen to it quite often. I have teared up many times typing this out and have listened to the song more times than I could count. I dont ask for much but it would be truly amazing if Brantley could read this just to know how much he has impacted me with just this one song...

There's a quote that say "Those who have fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know" and I disagree with that quote. There are hundreds of thousands of friends and family who have had to suffer the loss of a good friend or a loved one. They do understand. This song immortalizes that feeling. Thanks for your support. It's now one of most most favorite songs. Can't wait for the CD and my friends and I will see you soon at Raleigh, NC. Semper FI

He is full of energy on stage and one hell of an awesome down home country boy from the south. It is an honor to call him our friend. For all of you who are waiting for the new album to be released this spring, IT WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! We got to hear him sing and play 3 of the new songs while chillin on the bus with his song writers. We are looking forward to spending more time with him, just hangin out. Rock on BG!!!! HOOAAAHHHH!!! HELL OF A SONG! Thank you Brantley for supporting our troops. Regardless of whether you are left or right, agree or disagree, like or dislike, we must never forget the brave men and women who fight for our rights to have those opinions, and some do pay the ultimate price. Some of those brave Americans, patriots, never make it home. They selflessly sacrifice everything so we don't have to. Always keep them and their families in your thoughts. It's crazy how much BG's voice and style has changed since Prodigal Son. The guy can really write a song. Eric Church and him in concert was crazy. The only thing better would have been to add Gary Alan with them haha! 3 guys that know how to get out of the dirt road and mud tires cliche everyone writes about. These guys are lyrical story tellers.

This song reminds me of my Uncle that was in the service which past away in May 2012 (not while in service) and My Mom (2011) & Sister-in-Law (2010) which both died from cancer.
