Bro I’m 50 , just bought a quadangle cuz I couldn’t afford or find one when I was a kid or teen. That being said , I’ve been lucky enough to own and build repair a GT aRedline A diamondback and a Dyno. Back then I could i un assemble and reassemble any one of them in about hour and change . But on this new quadangle I realized things have definitely changed . It’s gonna take some work and learning about the new thread less stuff . And figure out how to build/gif a hollow bolt thread less setup for a gyro . Can’t go without a gyro man. Anyway I want to say thank you for taking the time to put your skills out here for us … you are much appreciated mate.

Always make sure that top fork screw is put back on. As an idiot kid I left mine off because I had rounded off alan keys. The stem screws I must have left to loose but they still had enough grip to steer. I get about a mile up the road, try to hop up a curb, and off come the handlebars. Kind of a hilarious image, because your just stood upright on a pair of pedals with a shocked look on your face 😂 but I was dumb, learn from my mistakes, accidents like that can go real bad 🤕

Hey man, great vids. Question, the headset compression cap is threaded? What does that screw into? Is the top of the forks threaded? Thank you
@Brant_Moore Жыл бұрын
It can be different depending upon what you have. Aftermarket BMX forks are usually threaded on the inside of the steer tube and that's what the cap will thread into. Complete bmx bikes will sometimes have a star nut which has a bolt that threads into it.

hey man sorry to bother you. I've done this correctly however I still have wobble between my forks and bars? I didn't have a spacer whereas you had the one. would that be what's causing the wobble? I really can't work my head around it.
@Brant_Moore4 жыл бұрын
It’s possible you need a spacer. If the top of the fork is too close to the top of the hole in the stem, it will not have enough room to tighten. Which is why you could need a spacer. You also could be missing a piece from the headset. Hope this helps
@billyhaylor23794 жыл бұрын
