The families of instruments are much like the Elements in Avatar: The Last Airbender Percussion, like Earth, is strong, diverse, and has no illusions about what it is. There are no fancy tricks that makes percussion suddenly easier or better Woodwinds, like Air, are focused on air. Nothing more to be said. Strings, like Water, are focused on reciprocating motion and constantly blab about their "rich culture" Brass, like Fire, is powerful, drawn fundamentally from how good you are at breathing, and while often perceived as bringing nothing but death and destruction, is actually full of beauty and life.

There are so many ways to roast the brass in a funny way without implying that we are useless. @@mckennawhitney4825 as it could be soothing, brass only bands exist. The only other ensembles an Euph can play in are concert bands and Fanfare bands (some native bands with slightly differ3nt setup in Belgium/Netherlands) i also think it's kinda sad there's no place in an orchestra for euph other then solo's, but yeah we brass are FAR from useless at all. It did not escape me that compared to the violin, the cello and the double bass “looks exactly the same - it’s just a little bit lower” but the viola “sounds exactly the same”. Keep up the good work, everyone. The rival roasting revelry in my feed helps keep the spirits up.

Isn't the point of having so many brass instruments in different keys, to make up for the fact that they don't have the range of string instruments? o_O

Thanks to TSV, I now know a lot more not only about violins but also about cellos, recorders, bass, brass, erhu and guzheng.

You DO see strings outside of an orchestra sometimes, but they rename the instrument to pretend it's something completely different, like a fiddle or a string bass. I guess the players must be embarassed to be associated with the instrument otherwise! At this point it feels like TwoSet is starting shit for the sake of baiting out awesome response videos from the rest of musician youtube, and I am ALL FOR IT. Also, you should've shown off the repaired contrabass, maybe with a snark about durability then cut to violinist Trent with a bag of woodchips and some glue.

I thought it was pretty clear that two set loves good hearted comedy about music from wherever it comes. Just don’t portray on national television that classical music is boring or needs you to strip off your clothes or start dancing, and two set will be happy with you.

Thank you Trent. Very cool. Could you make a video on the cimbasso one day? I'm a huge fan of the instrument and I've only recently begun putting it into my orchestral work rather recently, despite not yet completing a piece with a cimbasso.

I don't have access to one, sadly. If I did have one though I would definitely do a video on it.

this hurts. I was fine with making fun of bass, But now you have insulted me. I play violin and Trombone. Both are hard, and both have their place. Stop the war. I will write a piece of music with all of the insulted instruments plying equally if this gets 100 likes

To all the brass players out there, I want you guys to know that Twoset does not mean any harm. They roast instruments all the time, no matter which one it is, (indluding the violin actually). So rest assured that they do not and will not do this to offend anyone:)
