Braun shaver series 9 pro battery replacement

Weexplain how to replace the battery in a Braun electric shaver. In this case the shaver is of the Series 9, but the procedure is similar with other models/series.
As tools we will need a Torx
Make sure to check out the hint on the video of how to accomplish this without damaging the plastic housing.
Add the replacement battery into position and reassemble everything in reverse order.

Having watched this video , it gave me confidence to start to do it, but I hadn’t got the attachment to dismantle it. Then I got the handbook out as it could not be too old, there is a red light which I took as a battery light but is in fact a travel lock, after switching the travel lock off, it now works as it should! Advice as to the attachments needed would be useful please.

In the event that someone doesn't know, you should only ever purchase batteries that you plan to use for your shavers For instance, if you purchase a backup battery, it will obviously remain unused until your primary battery breaks meaning, batteries that are not used for extended periods of time will eventually lose their capacity and self destruct,making them useless because they must be active and will become damaged if left uncharged for an extended period of time. I say this because I have seen some people on sites say they bought backup batteries, and they don’t know that those batteries they have as backups will go to waste since Bruan batteries can last 3 to 7 years or even longer, and not using a battery for 3 years will damage the battery.and if a battery does actually work of not being charged for 3 years you be lucky but you will notice it as not got good capacity since it will lose its power faster making it more like a pre owned battery than a new battery. If you use a shaver a lot, I recommend changing the battery every 5 years. Despite the fact that a battery can still be working 7 years later, they will lose a lot of capacity after 5 years, so it's better to just change the battery after 5 years . My Series 9 Pro battery is m almost a year old and it’s lost some capacity After 4 minutes of shaving, charging icons show four bars it never used to do that .

You can charge backup battery with a good quality Li-Ion charger every 3-6 months so spare battery keep fresh and does not lose it's quality. These batteries have large charging cycles sometimes more than 300 so even you charge it monthly you lose 12 cycles per year so negligible compared to batteries useful charging cycle number.

@@dejavu1754 I suppose people could do that and store it in not too cold, not too hot places. My shaver is 10 months old, and from day one, I had to charge it after 4 to 5 days, despite shaving for 3 minutes a day. Batttery goes flat while people say they get 2 and a half weeks to 1 month of charging time mine doesn't last more than 4 to 5 days, and Bruan claims it does 50 to 60 minutes. I saw some people saying theirs is the same. If anyone has the same issues, I think it could be down to the shop. For example, the shop may have had it in store for awhile, and due to it not being charged for so long, it may have lost a lot of capacity by the time you bought it, or maybe it was stored in freezing cold temperatures or hot temperatures that ruined the battery. I am going to replace my battery to see if it makes a difference. The is no way am getting 50 or 60 mins from mine it’s feels more like 20 mins it’s lost more capacity 10 months later to which is normal for a battery to lose capacity after 10 months but it feels like it had bad capacity from day one since I only get 4 too 5 days shaving time I think Bruan should start charging the batteries a bit before they send them out to retailers and people instead of the batteries coming empty because no one knows how long the shop has had them in stock, and if it's for too long, it may be the reason why some of us who are only getting 4 to 5 shaves out of a single charge .I have let the battery run fully flat a few times to see if that would help it last longer, but it didn't Do anything since some times if you let a battery go flat it can make it hold a charge better .if someone having same problem reading this I’ll let you no if it makes a difference when I put in a new battery

My Braun serie 9 fails after 7 month… can be the battery or is something else?

@@federicominali7531 You can send it back to be fixed for free, since its under 2 years but it could be battery or motor. If you don't want to send it back, you can just get a new battery and try it. To be honest, with you, Bruan, turned into a terrible company, there are so many problems with their shavers nowadays. I only had mine for a year, and a half button fell off mine. Another common problem is button falling off. As well as the problem you have . I have now grown a beard, but if I go back clean-shaven, I will get the Panasonic Arch 6 the arch 6 cuts closer, and it looks like it will last and look well built. It appears the last decent shaver Bruan did was the original series 7, and after that, went downhill. Even cleaning stations for bruan are cheep they dont dry your shavers while Panasonic does

Hi, I followed your video till the end removed the battery and put the same one back but now my shaver won't work. Any suggestion as to what I should check or is there a step I am missing upon assembly.

Make sure the positive and negative ends of the battery are oriented in the right directions.
