Woke Netflix was more worried about misgendering a criminal than they were sympathetic about her destroying Manti Teo's life. Take a look for yourself at this nonsense. Taken from the full episode: rumble.com/v1hteyv-were-back-....

If the news wasn't so bias they would also know that many trans that are murdered are due to the person lying. Not condoning their murder but they have been known to catfish and make a very heterosexual male think they are a real woman. I know one guy who kissed the "woman" in front of his homies and went home together he ended up beating the "woman" up bad because he felt her balls.

Manti Teo is an absolute beast of a person. The whole world made fun of him and called him a liar and called him gay for years and only now does the truth come out. Lesser people would of been crushed by that but he kept on pushing forward. I'm glad the truth is out now, even though its far too late.

I agree, that this may have affected Manti's long-term career. I'm from San Diego and was happy the Chargers drafted him with their 2nd Round Pick. Manti was projected as a First Round Talent, so it was something of a "draft-day steal" for the Chargers to nab him in the 2nd round. FUN FACT: The Chargers traded-up to get Manti Teo. He actually cost the Chargers not only their 2nd Round Pick that year, but also their 4th Round Pick. BTW, I also agree that Netflix was very sympathetic to a "criminal".

The part Crowder and Co are missing is that Teo was also very sheltered/innocent for a guy his age. He came from a very traditionalist family and that's what made him such an easy target. I felt bad for Manti, he didn't go to the school he originally wanted, and was in a totally different culture/place/environment but he rose above it and was doing really good at his game! Then you bring along this person who decides to trick him and then plays a TON of dirty tricks on him... And the tricks that were pulled on him were just beyond cruel! Then, throw in the media accusing Manti of being gay, and it was nothing but a train wreck for him after that. Manti really kept his composure throughout the whole documentary and it was sad seeing the damage it did to him. He comes from a very close-knit culture and community so the idea of someone doing something like that is not even thought of or heard of. In the end, I felt zero sympathies for the person who pulled this crap on him and I still feel bad for Mantai. It seems like he has been able to move past it, but the past will haunt him through no fault of his own.

I am dying for someone to come out with a story on how Adolf Hitler was trans, so I can watch how Netflix twists and metamorphoses itself into “reframing Hitler’s life story.” Ronaiah is obviously a deranged and highly sociopathic individual, who, even when unfairly given this platform by Netflix, he chooses to still act like a complete self-absorbed “yeah-I-was-wrong-but (insert petty excuse)” sociopath. Even at some point DARING to show his disappointment in the fact that Manti released all the creepo voicemails he left him in a perfect female voice, to try and prove for his benefit that the hoax was too elaborate for him to realize this was catfish (nor did the poor guy even know this term existed or that someone would be so deranged to concoct such lies for such a long time). I felt so deeply for Manti and the aftermath of this, so much suffering for him and his family, so much embarrassment, lost career opportunities, harassment in the media and everywhere he went, the anxiety this caused him. There’s no excuse for this. And the worst: the perpetrator walks with no punishment and obviously no shame or regret. In fact he gets to show off his wig and dances accompanied by melodramatic music in the background. Forgive me if I puke in my mouth.

When Naya made the phone call to say Lennay died (same day as his grandma), he said Lennay died of the Leukemia diagnosis. ^^both "deaths" & "miraculously recoveries/surprise I'm alive!" I remember when this all happened I was just out of high school. I can’t believe this women/man ruined mantis life and made him get bullied all over the world and people are feeling sorry for the trans person that caused all that mess. She broke mantis heart and destroyed his career and people are victimizing her because she’s trans. What kind of sense does that make

Yes, PLEASE. I don't have Netflix and so never watched the documentary. I'm also not much of a sports person at all, so I never heard a thing about this whole ordeal. Had to watch the segment twice and still didn't know what exactly the story was all about until I went down to get it from the comments section. Please, just *let Gerald talk for God's sake!*

It's strange to me that there are no laws on the books (to my knowledge) that criminalize catfishing. What that sociopath did was so much worse than using drugs, most types of theft, punching someone in the face, etc.,etc.

I remember when this happened because I was at A&M and he was going against Manziel for the Heisman. I never knew the details about the person who did the catfishing. The story I remember was that he had a fake girl friend and a guy was behind the account that everyone assumed was his friend. So everything was reported that him and his friends made up this fake girl and killed her off to get media attention. This is the first I had ever heard that the person behind the account was actually catfishing him and all the transgender stuff that goes with that. From everything that was reported back then, we all thought he was in on it and it was a publicity stunt gone wrong. I even went as him and his "girlfriend" for Halloween, where I wore a ND jersey and just held my arm out in the air around a non-existent girl. Now that this has all come out, I feel bad, because apparently he wasn't in on it and actually was a victim.
