Heh... Not sure where people get the idea you can't have more than one species at a time in a household. We have 4 large dogs and 7 cats, all rescues. We never went through all the fancy tippy toe of "introductions", etc. They all just show up for breakfast and get in line.... We also have horses, cows, donkeys, mules, water fowl, guinea hens, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters.... (stopping for breath).... the list goes on. They all get along just fine. We live on a ranch, btw. LOL

@@CuddleBuddiesChannel Thanks, but not much choice involved. We live in an area where cruel, thoughtless people think its just fine to stop by our entry road and just dump any unwanted animals. That, btw, includes large livestock breeds, like our cows, donkeys, and mules. We try to cruise the property line up there at least once a day, especially in summer. The domesticated breeds often were raised in suburbia and have zero idea how to navigate the high desert to find food and water, so we have to be on watch for them. They arrive in pretty rough shape.

I had 3 cats and 4 dogs. I only had 1 cat at first. But 2 more came because my ex promised we would take care of them. All the cats and dogs would line up for dinner as soon as I got home. It’s a great feeling. I’m very happy to see your animals doing the same thing. Buddies for life. Congrats!

We currently have 5 cats and an Anatolian Shepherd. The 4 month old kitten is the only one the dog is afraid of, all 3 pounds of her...lol. He loves the other cats, but he won't even look at the little one. Hopefully, that will change.

Not surprised by this, not at all because I've seen a lot of cats show real aggressive behavior like Mugsy who's a feral cat who literally fights alligators from coming ashore in some part of Louisiana and the cat who fought of some coyotes at night defending their home. Cat's are definitely interesting and weird at the same time.

We had a Wolf-German Sheppard mix dog named Rommel. He was good with all our cats and would clean and lick them all the time. They would jump on his tail when he would wag it and he never got upset with them. We had about 3 acres and when the cats would try to walk up to the front near the road he would pick them up and made sure they never crossed into the street. He injured a dog that tried to come onto our property to chase the cats. I have never seen a bonding this extreme with him and our other pets. He weighed over 150lbs, and when he stood up, could look my father who was 6'3 in the face. He would run so fast that when I leashed him and on my skate board we went crazy speeds down the street. Best damn dog ever.
