Hey Andrei - great video! Your videos are always top notch. I have the bronze Oris Big Crown Pointer Date and it has a polished pilot's bezel and it has patinated wonderfully over the past year. It has taken on a dark pink tone. Depending on the alloy used here I would imagine it would be similar to your bezel. Enjoy your new purchase!

I had 4 of them and had amazing experiences with all 4. That said, when I checked out the other models at the Intersect show, the finishing of the dive models and some of the others felt like it needed more work. That said, I am a huge fan and hope they continue to release brilliant watches. I don’t think they’re over-hyped at all and I think the pricing is fair for what you’re getting.

Another beautiful watch from Baltic. I love several of their offerings, however I don't own one because they are all TOO SMALL for my wrist. Despite the high prices, I will likely purchase one if / when they offer a time piece for those with larger wrists. Thanks for the video!

It’s a great looking watch and I am very supportive of micro brands generally but the price to value margin is more than I’d be willing to pay. Like you perhaps my opinion will change. I've only had experience with one Baltic watch, their dual crown diver. Thus I can't speak for this model, but my experience with them is mixed. Over all I really like their design on cases, and their straps are great. The feel and finish, for me, felt lackluster. The watch felt light, as if there's some hollow points in their SS construction. Also had some dust under the crystal. I do like their name as it looks great on the dial. I think they are about $200 USD too expensive, should be in the $500 range IMO.

Baltic say they have tweaked the design of the crown for this bronze version compared to the steel version to make it easier to wind. I'm tempted to sell my green steel version and get the green bronze one, partly because it looks great, partly because of the crown, and partly because I've never had a bronze watch before.

I still have to understand why people buy automatic watches. Well, if it's unique hand made mechanism - that gives a bragging right, few other people having it, it's rare and it's expensive. Few people can afford it. Not so with all of this mass made mechanical movements. To me it seems like a basic Japanese quartz is just better - it's cheap, works well, it misses like 3-5 secs a month which is amount per day for most of mechanic movements. Is it a nostalgic feeling of father's watch he inherited from his dad? Is it that? Or is it a mechanical also is worn by some of rich people? I could get idea of a wind-only watch - one has a special time once a day, sit down and wind a watch, counting and feeling resistance of main spring. Does adjusting time gives that special feeling of being a watch owner, without actually winding (like most automatic watches are supposed to work)? To me, case, dial, hands and materials seem to be an area of creativity. Sizes - some people love small watches and some love big. It's so bad when I find a watch I like and it's made only in one size, huge and fitting only people with a 7.5" wrist. Or it has some weird lug construction that only native strap fits and it's super non-comfy or has annoyance calling replacement for different strap. Bronze case, titanium or hand carved Normandy oak. Stone, yes, real stone - hand picked and hand processed into a watch case. Or just plain polymer or steel case if you want just a timekeeper device.

Well baltic... beautiful watches with a sublime design from the 30s, correct construction.. But, no sapphire glass on most models.. the slightest shock will break the glass (I experienced it on my model) the cost of the repair is 100 € and no commercial gesture from this young brand which will explain to you that to contain the prices it is normal not to have sapphire glass..! Well no sorry, all their competitors and some much less expensive offer a sapphire or hardlex glass and alas a very very fragile plastic glass.. Beautiful watch yes, but huge ego..

I own two and they feel premium in person. Baltic has clearly said in the past that they intentionally price their watches above the value market because they want to utilize the extra profit on each watch to design new watches, develop better manufacturing, and expand the brand. It is working.
