I served in the Brazilian Army in the Artillery branch of the 5th Southern Military Region in 2022 and I confess that this military ration is without a doubt the best food I have ever eaten. At the Basic Camp of the 26th GAC in Guarapuava - Paraná, I did almost 3 weeks of the Basic Operations Course and it was this kit that sustained me until the end.

@@Bravebelly I'm not a soldier, but I believe that our Brazilian soldiers also carry a pan to heat water. Some soldiers may not have a pan, so they improvise using any metal container that can withstand heat. Normally, it is not necessary to open the food package to cook in water; just place the package directly in the boiling water and wait a few minutes. Then, open the package and eat the hot food.

Our drinks are really very good, unfortunately many Brazilians criticize the quality of our army but I have tried several MRE from other countries and I have never found a menu so rich in sugar and that is why our menu is designed to keep our fighters in combat for as long as possible . I recommend you try the "Feijoada" menu this is like a bomb of flavor and I believe it is the heaviest menu. Thank you for the video and for trying the menu 2 of our regular forces. Great video. In Brazil, we have 5 different biomes, not just the tropical forest. Amazon is just one of these biomes. We have the arid northeast, pantanal, Atlantic forest, which is totally different from the Amazon, and the southern region, with the "pampas", much colder, close to the North European climate. And MREs are made for operations in any of these diverse climates, providing around 3 to 5 thousand calories a day to the soldier, covering the wear and tear of training or missions. And mixing isotonic drinks with alcohol gel? Absurd. Military personnel on field exercises or missions would not make this mistake, they would go straight to the hospital or morgue...

Hey, I'm no expert so if anyone one that actually knows it please correct me, but I'm pretty sure that the bags with the actual food, you just put them inside hot water, so you boil them and open when it's ready to eat, once again i might be wrong but that's what i think was meant to be done
@Bravebelly
@Bravebelly 2 ай бұрын
I think you might be right. But waiting to boil water is one thing and then to fit 4 packs of food..has to be a sizeable pot of boiling water. I don’t have that in the field.

We all carry the same cup u used to boil the water and use it to heat the food inside the bags while deeping it in the hot water this way you dont need a pan and has more space for other things that can make your life easier out in the jungle

So I cool the water and put the rice bag and the main dish back into it while it boils?

@@Bravebelly If the water is already hot theres no need to cool it since you need it very hot to heat the food inside the bag 1-You can mix the rice and the main dish inside their own bags,doesnt matter the order,can be rice+main dish / main dish+rice 2-After "building" the aluminum cooker use the alcohol to make fire 3-The aluminum cup you can get water from any source since you wont use it to drink but to heat the food 4-boil the water and put the bag with the rice+main dish mix inside the water and leave it to heat the way you want it 5-Eat and enjoy your meal Heating with the bag leaves you more space to bring more essential things and less work to clean unlike the pan that you would need to clean since the leftover food can get dirty and if you use it again without cleaning it would be bad for your health and in the middle of the jungle with stomach sickness isnt a good scenario and theres no need to re-use the bags since every meal has its own,also the juice drinks we used to make them inside our own flasks since its easy to clean after and replenish with water again Except the coffe because at least me i like it hot and you cant heat a plastic flask

@ great info!! Thank you 🙏🏼 So to reiterate.. I use the canteen cup and heat up water using alcohol and open two packs and put them in one, (ex. rice and main dish) roll up the top so not to spill get and let it sit in boiling water for like 5 mins then eat out of the bag. Is that correct? So the only cooking equipment is the canteen cup (top and bottom portion..”the stand” and the cup and the plastic canteen? Any extra utensils or just the spoon they provide ?
@M0LOCK

@@Bravebelly Use the alcohol for the fire yes And also yes eat it straight out of the bag For the untesils you can use the ones that come in the bag,the plastic ones but we also brought normal steel ones from home since the plastic ones can break easily so if you wanna use the normal steel ones its ok too
