Here's my Build during my second play trough which was almost identical to the one in my first run trough the game. All job I gave my Character were maxed cause I grinded a lot. Early game I had Seth as a Thief with Monk commands then I had Gloria as a White Mage with Freelancer commands then I had Elvis as a Berserker with Vanguard commands and Adelle as a Bard with Freelancer commands. Mid game I had Seth as a Bastion with Hellblade commands, Gloria as a Red Mage with White Mage commands, Elvis as a Swordmaster with Berserker commands and Adelle as a Spiritmaster with Pictomancer Commands. End Game I had everyone the same except Adelle who I had as (the final class that shall not be mentioned) with Spiritmaster commands.

One of the fun things about these is that you can see how different styles of parties play out. It’s interesting that you had a main healer + two backup healers and only one dedicated damage dealer! Obviously it worked well, but interestingly different from my party that had 2 damage dealers.

I think I made teambuilding for myself even harder, cos I only wanted to give the party jobs that fit their personality. Like, having Adelle as a Bard is rly smart, but she's just so damn feisty, that I just made her my heavy hitter XD But honestly, I never really kept a solid lineup (except for Gloria being my main healer) cos it's just so fun playing with the jobs. But I found myself leveling up certain jobs so that everyone has solar and lunar powered, so everyone could get some MP if needed, and at least COULD be a second healer.

My team setup was ever changing, because I felt the need to try out new classes and find new combinations. Anyway at the end of the game my party was: Seth: Hellblade/Oracle for physical damage and elemental weapons Gloria: Bard/Salve-maker for buffs and heals (not affected by reflect) Elvis: RED MAGE/Spirit master for that sweet chainspelled Holy under group casted Reflect Adelle: Thief/OP secret job for that second passive from the Thief and Godspeed strike if needed. Seth was the tank or dps for nearly the entire game, Gloria was the healer/support/buffer, Elvis was the magic dps/utility caster (words cannot express my joy, finally my Red mage - imo - is a viable class) and Adelle was my dps/utility. The class system lets you do nearly whatever you want, I just love it.

Please keep in mind that the character you put these builds on do not matter AT ALL. characters in this game are statistically identical and theyre stats are determined entirely by class, gear, and any specialties or abilities that may impact stats (like late bloomer or bare knuckle). Also bard gets kinda mitigated when you use spiritmaster and honestly, I think spirit master is more worth it at lvl 15. my comps; Early/mid game : Seth: monk/berserker, Gloria: white mage/blackmage(spiritmaster once you get it), Elvis: black mage/red mage(arcanist), Adelle: bard/red mage (pictomancer) mid/Late game: Seth: swordmaster/berserker, Gloria: white mage/spiritmaster, Elvis: Oracle/(whatever magic the boss is weak to, black, red, arcanist, picto). Adelle: bard/red mage (picto) Post game: Seth: freelancer/thief, Gloria: white mage/spiritmaster, Elvis: same deal as above, Adelle: phantom/salvemaker (I woulda done this as soon as i got the job had i realized how bonkers it is)

Personally I’d recommend running a Beastmaster as someone’s main class once you get access to it, as long as you’re willing to put in the effort the class requires to reach its peak. As long as you’re making a conscious effort to do what the class does and capture a lot of monsters, once you get access to its second specialty, Creature Comforts, your stats are gonna soar. Currently near the end of Chapter 2 on Normal difficulty and I’m seeing Seth hit for upwards of nearly 5K on enemies he can hit the vulnerabilities of. That’s not even touching on actually using Off The Leash to access moves like Flesh Flayer which I’m seeing hit the base 9999 damage cap. If you’re willing to put in the effort the class takes to reach its pinnacle, it’s very well worth.

I know this vid's a little old now, but I think I've made the most broken team setup in the game, which I like to call the Phantom Build. For the build, you need to master Phantom for 3 of your characters to get the "Results Guaranteed" second specialty, Have a: Swordsmaster/Phantom (with double duty) (Attacker) shielmaster/oracle (Defense) Phantom/Beastmaster (Thief/catcher) Phantom/Salvemaker (Support) Next, put: Counter-Savy, Multitask, Indiscriminate Rage, Critical Flow, and Counter on your attacker (Make sure they Dual wield either swords or daggers so they get the double duty specialty) Put Mug, magpie, Indiscriminate Rage, Rob Blind, Beast whisper, on your thief Put Rewarding Results, Attack Item Amp, Healing Item Amp, and Sub-Job Specialty 1 on your support Finally, No Guts No glory, BP limit Up, and Revenge on your Defense (Fill with whatever you want) This build exploits the hell out of "Results Guaranteed" on phantom and allows anything with a percentage chance to happen to happen EVERY TIME for 40 mp. With this setup you to capture whichever monster you want at full health, Team mug every group of enemies (getting two of every rare item as much as possible) Constantly destroy mobs of enemies with your Swordmaster (which will always crit, always have max BP, and always attack several times in a row thanks to solid stance, multitask, and your defender/oracle which guards the whole team and uses elemental supplement on your attacker) and your support can always inflict several status effects (guaranteed to get a free turn each time they do it), guaranteed to always apply status on all enemies, and on top of that then spam elixers on the entire team for FREE with widen area (as long as you have one in your inventory) or multidotes for FREE with compounding Hopefully someone out there enjoys this monsterously broken build as much as I have.

Surprised to see Monk main class with Bare Knuckled Brawler all the way to the end game. I'm pretty sure you can surpass that attack power quite easily with Dual Wield and couple of good weapons, unless you're at a really high level, maybe. Of course, if you just find it more fun to play that way, then that's perfectly valid as well.

Best Melee combination i've found so far: Swordmaster/Beastmaster. 1.Catch a lot of monsters 2.Equip 2 swords to trigger specialty 2 from SM. 3. Passives: indis. Rage , full force, Multitask, Raw Power, Dualwield. How to use: Max brave, use solid stance, then attack. Now you gonna attack EVERY Eeneny 6 times ans for each enemy hit u get a 33% Chance to perform a Single target attack as well. Because of the boosted stats from Beastmaster your tanky as hell. I' already at 999 Attackpower , MP and 9999 HP at Level 60ish with all other stats in the 800s. One SM/BM build like this cuts easily through the 1st Portal bosses in a single turn

finished the game last night on normal at level 60-63. final party: adelle freelancer/thief (had most jobs maxed, she did 25k per gss) elvis was my spiritmaster and bard kept the health up and re-arise just in case and just boosted damage. gloria was my bastion/white mage for giving aoe protection spells and heals. and seth was my X last job/freelancer got the stats bonus from all the jobs by adding sub job 2, his stats was off the roof asX is already high (I guess beastmaster would have got it higher though) and he was my bp helper and /reliable dps. true ending last boss was probably the easiest, maybe I was waaay overleved by all those jp grinding for maxing the jobs for my two freelancers.

I ended up making my characters clones of BD1’s party subconsciously lmao, because those characters have slightly unique stats Seth was Tiz, who I used as a Thief since he has the 2nd highest speed and nice attack Gloria was Agnes, a healer since she has the best Mind stat Elvis was Ringabel, a mage with the 2nd highest Intelligence. He could also be a Thief since Ringabel was the fastest, but Elvis is characterized as a mage so! Adelle was Edea, my all out physical attacker. She has the highest defenses so she can be a tank too, but I never used tanks much in BD2. I’m currently playing through Bravely Second again, it’s fun switching up the roles I usually give the party based on stats (Yew Mage, Magnolia Healer, Tiz Thief, Edea Attacker) to jobs that look cool on them

good stuff! I beat the game 2 weeks ago but it's always interesting to see the path others took through it. Most of my set-up is fairly standard, but I did want to highlight my mid-game gloria build. Gloria: Main Shieldmaster, sub swordmaster/vanguard Passives: Dual shields, sub-job BP saver, noble sacrifice (rest isn't important) Basically there's two ways this build can swing. The first is using a shield and a sword, using defender of the people and fluid left style, and reducing the boss's BP. Sword is mainly so the attack will actually connect ; damage is negiligible. The other way is dual shields + vanguard. There's a lot you can do with that build, but the main thing is : if you want a raw tank, use auto-guard and bodyguard 3 times. You'll soak up every hit all of your allies take, without being beholden to defender of the people's 3 attack limit. With 2 shields you're absurdly tanky, so if you die it's likely after everyone else does meaning noble sacrifice will kick in giving you a cool little second chance at the fight. The other is just to use defender of the people to rack up 3 BP, then give away all 3 with sub-job BP saver gift of courage from vanguard and use defender of the people again with your 4th action. You can spend a lot less time defaulting with this setup. Other than that my set-up was fairly standard. Hurts so bad -> godspeed strike, or when I eventually banned godspeed : Hurts so bad -> neo cross slash/focal blast. Using vanguard here is great because I was able to max out my attack at level 50 by equipping 2 big heavy axes ; making neo cross slash fantastic. I wish I'd been more strict about my godspeed ban tbh, but it's not like this game is lacking in OP attacks. At the very least I had an absolute blast trying to puzzle out how to do the trials in my late 50s/early 60s. When I beat the berserker battle I popped off so hard ; that one was so brutal. Glad I waited to get the spoiler job after doing all I could ; was a great challenge. Shame the final boss didn't put up much of a fight in comparison :/ so yah ramble over. Bravely 2 is a pretty great game, shame I just have little restraint when I see an OP build D:
