I remember on my first playthrough I had Ringabel switching between Dark Knight and Ninja builds and I liked to imagine that he was removing his armour for better speed and mobility and the ninja suit was the same he was wearing under the armour

I love how most ninjas are basically just melee chain guns with their comical hit rates, and as funny as this sounds I was watching this video while playing the ff14 ninja job while watching Naruto so like that was just so much ninjas

I love this job. so much. If a red mage is the jack of all trades for magic, then ninja is the jack of all trades for physical attackers. barring actually BEING a mage, ninja not only fits every role, but excels at it. On the surface, ninja is all damage, no defense. But through it's evasion skills, it can be surprisingly- .. is "durable" the word i want to use..? they dont take damage, that is... assuming you build for it. this also has the benefit of lowering the downside of dual wield. and due to the fact they can redirect damage away from themselves (or to, for evasion shenanigans), this makes them an amazing support kit for other jobs, whether it be AS a tank or FOR your tank. If i did have a major complaint though, its that all of it's major buffs (hit cap, evasion, and aggro) are all only 1 turn. this means without a BP battery to fit those skills into a set of braves, it will feel incredibly clunky to use them every single turn. Without a battery aruond, you'll kind of get stuck in a situation where youre either not using the buffs, losing turns to braves, or just spending your precious turn, as a damage class, doing support. Ninja does ALOT both for itself and the group, and thats its biggest strength and it's most frustrating flaw. Choosing between high damage and making your team actually work is an annoying trade that just begs for some sort of BP management. This is also a case where it helps to have a time mage with quick. having it in-kit is nice, but if you have your ninja doing its share of supporting, a longer lasting hit cap buff is very welcome. As a conventional attacker though... its an interesting situation to be in. On one hand, its kind of boring, and it really just locks out your support skill slots. on the other, its one of the VERY limited ways to bypass the 9999 damage cap/attack in bravely default 1. which is incredibly notable for the ninja, making it one of the "power classes" i elude to. High damage, high support, and even has a path to durability? and wrapped up in a high AGI package, ninja is just... good. really good.

I played Ninja as an aggro redirecter. Redirecting any kind of attack to a Swordmaster with Drain enchanted sword equipped makes for a surprisingly effective way to trivialize almost all of the Eternian gauntlet (minus the infernal combo).

Surprisingly a completely black outfit works well for ninjas in modern settings. Thanks to light pollution and most street lamps throwing big shadows, you can become invisible wearing black.

Naa naa naa, them female ninja outfits are easily the single best #1 spot in the game. Also on Agnes it’s like only of the only outfits that removes her big hair backdrop. Only second to female vampires, mayhaps.

How do you get the best daggers if they are locked behind Norende village

Sadly, if you lack villagers to make buildings in your Village, it is quite difficult to grab any items in Norende, since the online features no longer work. The Falcon Knife is a very strong pick for a Ninja weapon, but it sucks it is locked behind Norende.

I use this class to cheese melee only bosses. The few I remember on the top of my head are the 6 dragons needed to be defeated to enter the Vampire job tower and one boss guardian some machine I'm not really fond of the rest of the ninja kit, I rather straight up hit enemies in the face, instead of showing off dodge skills or even trying to manage aggro And Cleave sucks, just use AoE skills that doesn't rely on rng to clear out trash mobs Nin Nin Nin, I'm a Ninja!

how well do pirates and ninjas work as subjobs for eachother?

It works pretty well both ways, with Pirate being able to take advantage of the evasion skills that the Ninja has, while the Ninja can make good use of the debuffs that the Pirate utilizes.
