So far I've been doing a freelancer only playthrough. This isn't a restriction I put on myself though, I just really want JP up and someone with mimic. Love the playlist, it has been very informative.

A friend of mine started this game, so I went to search for materials to help me refresh my memories. This video was recomendend to me by youtube so I went to check it. I'm pretty happy about it. I didn't know prayer was so useful as ability. I tried to cook a lot of shenanigans with the job system. I wish I cook something for prayer if I knew it was this usefull. Mimic is my favorite skill. My team against the final boss was 4 mimic user and the neatest part is their strategy was copy each other ability with careful itemization with AGI. My thief could godspeed strike and mimic itx3. Second faster member could mimic godspeed strikex4. The third could mimic godspeed strikex3 and my hero. And the last could mimic my herox3 into rampant. 3 of my party used the thief skill while only have one actually have thief skills. Other shenaningans I did: the fastest character mimic the slowest character and having one character with aoe support ability getting mimic by a character that doesn't have aoe support ability but have support abilities that can take advantage that skill which effectively cheating 8 support ability points for that one character. I never tested if other support abilities can be mimic but I love the fact that mimic can make my character have effectively 3/4 jobs instead of just 2.

I usually hold off training this class until entering the snow area. Iirc one random encounter involves flower like enemies that can drop the JP cap (after JP up), so I usually use that place as my farming spot to tackle the lategame and Mastering all the jobs I need. I don't remember if there are any good JP farming spots earlier, so I just hold off grinding until then to save time. Mimic is broken, but we get to that in the other job vids as you need to combo it with those.

YES, Freelancer is much easier to take advantage of once you reach Chapter 4 and on thanks to the easier grinding spots!

Great in depth video but I struggle with things like which support abilities I need to use and what gear to wear, the optimise function in this game is pretty dumb considering, I’m fairly sure even ff5 did this right (please correct me if I’m wrong) at least the pixel remake felt like it did a better job. hi, I’m in chapter 3 (on our way to the mythril mines) and I cannot figure out how to create the special shop, it just won’t let me and I’ve no clue why. I’m level 64 if that means anything???

Hello! If I recall off the top of my head, you need to first uncover the shop by removing an obstacle first (It's the Woods if I remember). After that, the shop should become available to upgrade! I'm sure you already know this but these shops will only upgrade as long as your 3DS is currently on or asleep, not while it is completely off. If you already have it unlocked and it just won't upgrade, then there would need to be a further look into why it isn't working. Hope this helps!
