Its been running FS2020 for a little month : it works delightfully. For the time being I still use a CH products trottle quadrant wich still works well and was easy to setup under MSFS. I've pre-ordered a Bravo Throttle Quadrant and wait for it from Aerosoft.

This is a definite, if only for the Trim Wheel. Using KB or "notched" response trim is useless in FSX or FS2020. Plus the Reverse thrust levers on the commercial set. Thank you for your review. Very thorough and fair

Thank you for this video. Great and reliable information about the product (at the stage - without drivers). I'm waiting for my Beta. The only thing that let me down was that the Revers works as it was in Saitek, i.e. on the principle of an on / off switch. I was hoping that the Revers mode would be a separate axis that would work smoothly. (as it is in TQ6).

This looks like a really good product. The only concern I have, is not being able to push the toggle switches in the front during flight, when the trottles are fully open. To me it appears as though they would completely block all of the switches. Other then that, I am dying to get my hands on this product. But being $250 might take a while to gather enough money lol, guess I should’ve got into a cheaper hobby 🤷‍♂️ Anyway great review, and I 100% agree with your assessment!

Mark at 12 mins 48seconds, ive seen enough to completely be blown away by the late release of the quadrant as the honeycomb yoke was also brilliant in price too.. I was impressed with that also back in 2019 review... I can see why they didn't release it yet now.. they have added a lot. Honeycomb clearly a forward thinking brand mixing GA with Twin engine and commercial. Looking forward to the drivers review.

Hello Mark and all of you that follow this channel great review,I just got my bravo throttle I ordered through sportys pilot shop in Ohio eta was 02/09/2021 but it was early ,and I'm going to have some fun,the nice thing about the throttle is all switches are recognized in fsuicp and spad next I do have the sitek panels and those can't be configured in fsuicp only in spad next i have yet to experiment but i will highly recommend the alpha and bravo flight equipment by far superior then saitek/logitek.im also curious in msfs how the 3rd party avionics is going to be wired as you know in fsx/prepard most 3rd party aircraft don't follow the same code.

I'll be sticking with my sidewinder force feedback stick.Since the recent update and the huge patch which appeared the following day,my controls are too aggressive and I no longer have enough power to fly more than 1/4 of a mile before the inevitable crash.The only thing left to check is mixture in the hope the patch has somehow tinkered with it.I have opened a ticket with Microsoft in the hope they have a simple fix..............................

I preordered one on September 3rd so I’m in the 49 week of production category. Very nice review, I was hoping to see it flying in a 172 or 182. I’m guessing that without drivers the autopilot functions are inoperable at the moment. Looking forward to the next review when drivers are available. How’s the clearance with the throttle full forward at accessing the AP buttons and switches?

Thank You for your demonstration it was very good in comparison to some of the other You Tube providers. Can you please advise those of us waiting... The “Thrust Reverser” do the spring-loaded handles activate the “Thrust Reversers” (contacts within the handle mechanism) or is it the “Detent” position that activates the “Thrust Reversers”? And the Spring Loaded mechanism merely act as a mechanical lever with no electrical data being relayed ? Xplane recognises all the buttons and axis to allow for configuration, but there will be an update for visual reference and preconfigured / default settings .

So, do the speedbrake lever jump to brake upon landing? And if not, do it prevent the sim aircraft to do it? Also im a bit worried that even the slightest accidential touch on the trim wheel disconnect AP. The display is also cringed behind the levers.

I noticed in your Vlog you have the Saitek rudder peddles, Is the honeycomb throttle quadrant compatible with them and the Saitek Yoke? My problem is with the Saitek throttle quadrant, I ether have idle or half throttle (nothing in between) and then on up to full throttle, or if I reverse the throw I then get Idle up to half throttle and then half throttle to full throttle with nothing in between. This is a problem I have failed to solve, so I'm seriously thinking of changing from my Saitek gear to the Honeycomb setup.

Still no luck. I got as far as the window to test the Throttle Quadrant, but there was no tab to calibrate only Test, Dead zone and About tabs. All three, Flight Yoke, Throttle Quadrant and Ruder peddles were featured in Devices and printers, but there was no way to calibrate them. I tried all morning and in the end I gave up. Thanks for your help, its much appreciated.

Honeycomb ate about to release XL clamps. Current clamps can accommodate thickness of about 40-50mm

I have a Mac with x plane 11 and the Honeycombe yoke. No problem setting up the yoke but the throttle quadrant is not so easy. Every video I have seen cater for a pc windows using a flight sim but practically none existent for a Mac!!!!! As I am new to flight simming any help would be much appreciated.

P3D doesn’t make it easy or intuitive, suggest going to windows calibration settings first and note the button numbers and axis descriptions. Anything in particular a problem?

From what I've heard, the Honeycomb should work out of the box with MSFS 2020. I've ordered the Alpha/Bravo combo. I don't have it yet, but I can't wait. I can't speak for X-Plane, but in my research, it seems it should work there too. Seems @SimHanger Flight Simulation knows more than I on this matter. His Xplane video says it all. I've heard about Throttle 2 not working on the Bravo out of the box in MSFS 2020. From what I understand, the fix is as simple as deleting the binding for throttle 2, and re-binding it. Once I get mine, I could confirm. Just speculation till then.. @SimHanger Flight Simulation New Sub here as of Jan 4, 2021 3:45am Eastern Time USA. :)

I want to assign throttles, mixture and propellers. When I assign them they do not respond in the sim but work when I’m on the assignment page as the assigned lever is moved. Then I hit apply and save. Also, there are no light on the annunciator panel or the landing gear status. The Honeycomb website mentions update 7 is needed for all this to work. I’m sure it downloaded, but if I would like to attempt another try, how do I do it. Please help.

Hi Ralph, you cannot overwrite the default profile. When changing assignments/mappings are you saving under a different name as shown in the video? The drivers to make the lights work are still pending. The recent update now includes a preconfigured profile for a twin engine prop. You could use this as the one you modify to create new profiles, should be quicker. Regards

@@SimHangerFS After watching your video..yes I am saving under a new name. One of the puzzling things I am witnessing control levers seem to have a life of their own. I advance one, doesn’t matter which, it will move and then it will take on a life of its own. It is as if it is working against two opposing commands. I am starting with a single engine model. I leave the first axis alone. Leaving the rubber stopper in place I then use the second axis for power and then mixture. When I tried a four engine configuration, moving the speed break activates the throttle for engine number two. It is all very odd because during the setup, everything looks good. Save and resume, then it all falls apart. I’ll keep trying. I flew with the mixture set at full for the short flight, but having the ability to adjust power with a power lever vs the keyboard made the investment worth it.

@@ralphtheisen6174 , the only thing I can think of to cause these problems are : you are configuring the axis to the wrong mapping. Some axis have two possible axis mappings, 0 to 100% and -100 to +100%. I cover this in my video. Secondly you have other functions allocated to the mapping on the TQ or another peripheral, such as a yoke. This is causing conflict. Hope you get it sorted. Regards

Wow, Great review and Demonstration thank you for that. I am really glad I saw this Video and am thinking of getting this product. I am just an amateur, have a Windows 10 Home Pro and was using FSX till it just gave up on me, all it does is installs the first part (five squares) and then it says uninstalling, have tried several times to install and done a PC clean but no luck. So now I am thinking of getting another FSX. Would this product Bravo Throttle Quadrant be ok with FSX. I would like your opinion, please. Many thanks. Justin

Hi, yes it is compatible with FSX….but you should consider getting MSFS…it is better all round.

Why didn't they include a VS button for the autopilot? How do you change altitude with a fixed VS with this? Will it switch to VS automatically if in ALT mode and the selected VS is not 0 and the current altitude is different to the selected one? any ideas?

The left rotary switch/dial has VS and this can be changed using the right inc/dec rotary dial. Regards

@@SimHangerFS Yeah but on the Logi-Panel i have to push the VS button to actually switch to VS mode after setting the value. The honeycomb doesn't have the VS button so how do you activate the VS mode after setting the value?
