The barbecue of whole ribs (costelão) roasted for a long time 12 hours is a tradition in southern Brazil. This is the specialty of Gringo's steakhouse. It only works during the Farroupilha Camp, which takes place in Porto Alegre, in September, and is the biggest event that honors the region's traditions and culture.
The steakhouse is only open during the 20 days of the event. Thousands of people fill its facilities for practically 24 hours. Nobody wants to miss the chance to taste the most famous Costelão in southern Brazil. Not to mention the other roasts, which also make the joy of those who love to eat well.
