@@buzzfeedUK Not maybe - it's NECESSARY. It's at least one way to prevent the cheating that Sonia does EVERY time. It's not fair if you keep doing it this way. The other option is to have one of the producers as "unbiased" judge to offset the unfair contestants - this will help a bit, but not as much as blindfolds. The simplest solution is to stop casting unfair contestants. It doesn't make the video enjoyable when there's bad apples in the bunch.

Technically, even if she gave everyone a fair score like 8, she still would’ve won. The scores would be 19, 20, and 21 if she gave 8 instead of 3, 3, and 2. If she gave a 10 to each, the last one would be the only one to match her score. Hers got 23 so I guess it was tasty despite it not being the correct dish. I do think she judges too harshly.

In the region where I live here in Brazil that is called a "Pastel Português", or "Portuguese Pastel", and we sometimes refer to It as just pastel. Futhermore, we wouldn't even call that a "risole", since risoles here need to have a pill shape to be considered risoles (it's kind of how sushi will sometimes take the same ingredients and taste the same but be called different names depending on the way it's rolled). I do think that making a completely different dish goes against the premise of the video, but she did make a pastel, it was just a regional misunderstanding since the country is so big
