And she did do some of that as well, like offering promotion to carter even though he had the drug issue. Some choices were good, some were bad. It’s what made her a great character.

In fairness Jeanie is the only physicians assistant they've had on ER, at least as a regular characte. She was basically higher up than a nurse but not as high up as a doctor. A lot of Jeanie's tasks could be split between the doctors and nurses. It was basically a luxury position not an essential position.

As much as I love Kerry she did get the taste of her own medicine after getting Jeanie fired and many others. Yes she was in charge then and it was connected with making unpopular decisions. That's why it was so hard for her to make decisions but she had to make them anyway. Luka didn't deserve taking a fall. It was Kerry's decision to hire Clemente that after a while put her back in the ER. It wasn't Luka's fault.

The writers definitely started losing care in continuity in the later seasons. Kerry made those same decisions, firing Jeanie. Hypocritical is rarely often an intentional character trait, it tends to appear when writers don't pay attention to the movements of the character throughout the run.

Deep inside she was a good person. I love and dislike her character at the same time. She is just too complex in my opinion to have simply like or dislike opinion. Biggest mistakes she did were hiring Clemente, forgetting her page and not admitting it, firing Jeanie. Oh and going up against Mark who didn't care about hospital politics or competing with Kerry. He just wanted to get through shift and save as many lives as he can. Of course another thing is allowing John Carter to get tenure. Of course because he donated a sum for a new wing.

Sure. I can't find salary data on ER Attendings for 2007 (when this episode aired), but currently, the median ER attending makes about 50% more than the median general practitioner (290k v 180k). In 2007, the average GP salary wasn't much lower, at $160k, meaning the proportional ER attending salary would be a bit over $250k. Even if we adjust that down for County being an 'underfunded public hospital' that would still clear $200k for a higher paid employee (i.e., right now, the 10th percentile is $208k, and we know that there are lower paid Attendings at County, so them making something like $180k while Weaver is over $200 makes sense).
