Not gonna lie, this video was a total waste of my time for what I thought it would show. Getting the bearing out and back in, is pretty damn important to the repair. Consider shooting the video again. Now I'm off to look for that in a video.

I'm sorry you didn't find it helpful, the bearing replacement wasn't the focus of this one, but I can see how it would be important to some.

@@Nick-v7f5x I stand corrected, the video doesn't show the removal or reinstallation of the bearing or the seal. The typical complaint people that own these machines have is that the liquids are leaking out of the bottom of the bread pan. This happens either after the seals wear out or the customer took it apart to clean and can't get it back together properly.

@@mikesworld60 Would you say the rubber seal just slips on over the shaft and can be push all the way down to it's seated position using only the fingers or is it much more of a task to get it down where it needs to be? Ever replaced a crankshaft seal? They don't just slide into place. So I figure there might be more to it.

@@josephsfields The seal is a light press fit into the pan after the shaft is installed, I used a small diameter wooden dowel to press it in on the outer edge of the seal.

The shaft on mine came out by itself, not the rest. I can not figure out how to get the rubber seal and the gold color piece under it. It’s pretty stuck. I’m afraid to scratch the inside of the pan trying it. I was hoping your video would show that and how to put everything back. Bummer.

The gold-colored part is the oil light bearing that is press fit into the pan and should not be removed. It is not a part you want to remove. At the end are pictures of the instructions that come with the kit. They show all the parts and what order they go into the pan. The shaft can only be driven into the pan from the bottom because there is a snap ring under the seal inside the pan. If your shaft came out the bottom, then the snap ring would have to be missing under the seal. If you drive the shaft into the pan the snap ring should push the seal out. If the shaft is out and the seal is still in there take a small flat blade screwdriver and pry the seal out using the center hole in the seal. Watch the whole video all the way through if you skipped though it the first time. I just watch the video again and it should have everything in it to make the replacement a success. I was not able to show putting the seal back in because the camera failed to record that, but it is just the reverse of taking it apart. the seal is just press fit into the pan and if you can't get it all the way in, you can use a small diameter wood down and press on the outer edge of the seal.

Yes, It's my wife's car and bread machine. The bread machine was a big priority because that is how she makes me pizza.

I wish I could do this. My breadmaker does not use a retaining ring; instead the shaft is mushroomed out over the part that engages with the breadmaker

sorry to hear that.

I'm thinking as long as you can get parts you can fix anything.

I'm wondering how long I can keep this bread machine alive. I have repaired it several times now. I found one just like it at a Goodwill store and have been using it as a parts machine. I'm sure glad we found the seal kits. My wife likes this machine and does not want to replace it if I can keep it running. She makes the pizza dough in it and so it is a high priority to have it working. I just gotta have my Pizza.
