Argh, trailering a boat in the rain is a royal PITFA. Awesome adventure!

Good for you guys! That truly is an achievement! Can’t help but think what it would be lie if Reggie Fountain was still playing. Without some of his innovations. Who knows, we still may not have seen even these top speeds in a large Vee hull! Certainly am not trying to take anything away from anyone. What you’ve done here is a very difficult achievement! Congratulations! Now get that 200!!😎

Certainly would be cool to see another manufacturer or team try to compete with Factory Billet. They had the Parvey's last year but unfortunately they aren't running any longer. What brand would you want to see join the Shootout?

As a Single-Engine TwinTurbo V-8 that VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!! (Compared to the average Twin Engined 540ci Blown Twin Screw Blown 1350hp)…

A 3-speed transmission in a boat? I've long wondered why that couldn't be done. And 6500 horses outta 2 engines? Yikes! I only recently saw that Sterling's top offering is now a 2000 horse engine, and thought that was monstrous. You guys blow that outta the water! Now you need a new hull...

I'm not sure if there's a more capable hull available. The limit still hasn't been found!

Very impressive but man. the wetted surface is crazy big. A wing like the old Fabio Buzzi boat would help if one didnt want to change the hull shape.

some cleverly subtle downforce ''may be'' something that probally should be checked into, maybe somthing that can change just a little bit, be neutral in ''DEFAULT POSITION' but up or down a smidgen or something like that on some surface around the bubble...??

Could you guys screw up the editing anymore by adding music at the worst time???
@speedonthewater3 сағат бұрын
We can upload the raw audio in a separate video as a 1 minute clip of just the run if that would make it better? Still appreciate the comment!

@@speedonthewater As a rule of thumb - always go light on music, if even in very slight doubt just leave it out. Especially if there's something relevant playing/going on meanwhile and it's not just some transition or a rather remote side topic with little relevancy to the main theme, because it'll basically be in the background by default when there's any music playing - that's why you should rarely ever put music over someone talking, unless you do it on purpose to create an effect and said person has nothing worthwhile to say in the first place. Looking at it that way usually brings people's editing to a better level. Here for example the music choice isn't bad, but it should've been reserved for a few spots in the video and it usually sets in way too early. Put it at the end of a talking segment and use it as a transport or bridge passage to some nice footage for example, makes it way more pleasant to watch. Proper editing is quite hard, really good editing is an art. Best show such work to people who will tell you straight to your face if they think it's crap with no regards for your feelings, that'll make you see a lot of things you'll otherwise probably miss for years to come. Brutally honest, very observant and articulate people are your best friend here. Anyway, sorry for the subpar english but I think you'll get what I'm trying to say and nice video nonetheless. Good luck with your future endeavors!

Face it "offshore racing" is Survival Of the Fittest in real life. Factory Billet chooses not to race in Offshore, they go with a tiny niche wher competitors are few V-bottom Speed Record. Typically offshore teams invest in cost is no object meticulous preparation to insure failure of any kind is minimized.. This "team is a comedy of Bozo's; At 0:58 seconds in they feature/show the splines on the drives being greased --- Make sure we don't picture the 10s of thousand$ worth of state of the art props because our competitors might learn what prop$ we're running. Opps hey Boss, we don't have no competitors... Comedy Act: 6:30 "We ran on the dyno for days and days and weeks and MONTHS" Are you f**ing kidding me? They can't even compete a single "race" run w/o a motor coming unglued!.... Maybe if they didn't wear their motors out on the dyno running them for months and months, D'oh! ?.....Compare to Ford Motor Company/Henry Ford II in 68 on a cost is no object mission to BeatEnzo Ferrari at LeMans in 1966-69 Ford built an automated dyno to synthesize on track race running the engines full 24 hour cycles. Did these Bozo's actually not test in the water the months and months of preparation for said "race"?...........................
