@Martin Jimenez I like how Alan Watts puts it. He thinks that Jesus (if he ever existed) gained cosmic consciousness, or "mokshe," or "satori" -- whatever you want to call it -- but because of the hierarchical society he was immersed in (gods, kings, rulers) he couldn't express it cogently. Like if he said, "I am the son of god," the people around him took it as a boast and therefore had to put him in his place, knock him down for his blasphemy or heresy. Of course, if he had said this in Hindu-India, they would have replied to him, "Duh, welcome aboard!" But Watts also said that in the original Greek version of the bible, the translation is that Jesus said, "I am *A* son of god," not *THE* son of god.. The inference being, that we are ALL the sons of god -- or we're ALL god.

I know it may be harder for you because you don't notice social queues or the way people react. But just leave space and be patient with yourself by leaving the space. It's easy to get pulled in to something - or for me is anyway - but then I see the stepping back and making space. I think I understand what he means... I've felt "trapped" in such a concept-riddled world before and it's just so hard to even attempt to discuss to another person, who never thinks about it. Often life, to me, seems like a play.. you know, like a theatre play. Where we all have our "roles" and we go through the "act" with the unspoken learned rules. In a play where... our trivialized concepts are the priority. But sometimes when that conceptual world just breaks down in my mind, there's so much that feels so pointless; like.. all shallow thinking... or paperwork... or.. employment, doing something for someone (you often don't even know) that you have absolutely NO personal stake in. Just for cash, so you can... then go to a store where you can get stuff that you're again completely detached from. The animals that once lived are no longer in any way identifiable as animals, they're products. Meatballs is a product. I never had to see the thing die that "gave" the meat for them... and I (/we) take that for granted. "Store has what we need" and the thought never seems to go further than that for many. Oh and how petty the daily trivial "problems" feel in contrast when you think about the big picture and what actually seems to matter. People are so concerned with social concept driven "problems", like their looks and often petty relationship drama, while there's just so much more to life. A lot bigger things at play that could use focusing on and improved upon. Idk.. it's still really hard to explain what it feels like when the structure of "what (my) life is" just falls down for a while and how many absolutely asinine seeming concepts drive our daily lives... Most of the time it gives me tons of anxiety tbh... especially how absolutely at the societys mercy we are. How little I am self-sufficient if this warmth, light and water I take for granted didn't flow into my house or if all those stores and all their shelves _weren't_ suddenly packed with all flavors of all foods I've grown to like or all items I need... Not to mention how it has often left me feeling VERY lonely when it feels I'm alone in thinking past the conceptual... almost-auto-pilot-like "daily life" of ours. Though sure, even these "thoughts that come after looking past the daily concepts" have grown concepts of their own, but... there's just this discrepancy between what I've learned to act like and the actual me behind it... and it frustrates me to no end that the rest of the world insists on interacting with eachother with these... egos put forth instead of our sincere selves. Oh how many times have I been looked weirdly if I actually say what I think. It would be so liberating for me if everyone were sincere. I think in a world of blunt truths, my anxiety would have so much less "fuel" from "what if's"

It seems to me that you have a very good grasp of "reality". I only came to know what you know via an LSD trip. In the midst of the psychedelic wonderment there was a break of an hour or so during which I could see with crystal clarity the many profound absurdities abounding in my culture. The insights struck me as a sequence of sudden epiphanies in which the shock of recognition made me laugh out load. I laughed and laughed until every muscle in my head ached. I'm sure any sober observer would have concluded that I had gone completely insane, just as depicted in the famous anti marijuana propaganda posters so prevalent in the sixties. You are not wrong. Use your insight as a guide to behavior.

everything evolves as it evolves, even the shallowness and superstition. However, I think in every person there is a key, it is inside. What we can do, so simple it sounds is to be kind to each other. Then, I believe after a while that feeling of “me” vs. others just does not make any sense anymore. Everyone feels lonely sometimes, or disconnected, etc etc . It is part of the human condition. If we start to really understand, that we are in this together, true connections start to emerge.

My only support in life was consciousness. Never people. Even Eckhart with his concepts took me to deeper uncosciousness, few times. Even enlightened people have unconsciousness within them. I think all support and goodness is within ourselves and to not look for anything outside, even if people look enlightened and loving. You will be disappointed sooner or later. They are not here to support any of our weakness. If we are weak, we have a choice, or to commit suicide, or to get stronger within. Happines is never outside.

Invite it. Ask for it in raw honesty and BE ready to utterly surrender and die to your conceptual identities. Then see what remains. Its not a doing. What helped me was this quote from ramana maharshi " Do nothing, Be nothing, seek nothing, relinquish nothing, just be as you ARE". See what remains when you dont want to be something or try to be something, when you dont chase a thought or reject a thought and when you 'do to get' or 'do to get away' , see what remains when you stop the effort to recreate your self in each moment. When you don't entangle and don't disentangle with anything, what remains? Who are you?

Meditation. Truth is, you can't really live like this, living requires ego, if you really think about ego it's a survival mechanism that make this biological animal function. Without it you wouldn't even bother to breath, let alone do anything else. The thing most people never realize is that the ego is not us any more than our bodies are us, once we realize that then we can shape the ego how we chose. What we can't do is live without it, getting rid of our ego is just as impossible as getting rid of our bodies, it's an essential part of physical life, and if you want to live life you have to accept ego as part of it. One day you'll die, and then you'll be free of both your body and ego, but until that day comes you should just enjoy it. That's what knowledge and understanding gives you, the ability to create the ego that you want, you stop being a slave to it and instead make it a tool that works for you. Passion, drive, desires, these are things that come from the ego that can accomplish amazing things and give you and others a great deal. What we usually don't like about it is that it tries to motivate us by inducing pain when we're not following these things. But that's just how it works, and when we ourselves can decide what our passions, drives and desires are then maybe we can appreciate it trying to motivate us even if it can be painful. The ego gets a very bad rep, but it's partly undeserved, without it we'd never have survived this long. I think that once you're at a place when you feel you understand all of these teaching, your job becomes to let them go, trust yourself to be the person you want to be and go out and enjoy life. You'll be free when you die, until then have some ice cream, go for a swim, fall in love, break your ankle while going a place that clearly says "stay out", paint something, watch some Netflix, learn to dance, whatever, just loosen up and have some fun, life really isn't that serious.

grief is love with no place to go, acceptance is first, embracing why you are grieving and understand this is part of the process of human nature. Pray, meditate, think of the happiest memories, cry, scream, sleep. This is all part of healing and we all know it takes time, it does not mean you will not feel the pain, it means you have accepted this in your heart. It does not mean you will forget, it means you will remember and you will be stronger for the next chapter in your life. I say this from life experience.

Emotions arise from thoughts. Once you look closely at what happens you will realize that most likely grief and sadness come up when you think about your dog and what you did in the past with her or him. What if you not defend yourself but someone else.. what if you defend the ones that cannot defend themselves? Like animals 😔 How else can we help them? I know my view on animal suffering is a concept but it's "real" as well. It seems somewhat circumstantial to rely on "just be present", radiate presence and positive intentions only. Should we not stand up for them? Any thoughts anyone, on how to apply what Eckhart says in this video?

The way I understand Eckhart's teachings is this: The best way to help the world is to awaken ourselves. When we are completely at peace, we can then have access to wisdom, and the best actions arise naturally, "best" meaning what is most beneficial to everyone, including those who are suffering. Then we will be guided by a higher intelligence. It is possible that in that state of consciousness we will undertake specific actions in the external plane to help others. However, the main help we can render is to sustain our state of consciousness. If we try to help other out of our ego, we are likely to make things worse, even if we are full of good intentions. For example, if we try to change the world based on our judgements, we are likely to create enemies, to label people as good or bad, to create more separation. We then don't see inconscious actions for what thet are: inconscious actions coming from people disconnected from their true beings; we may see those actions as those people as if they are the problem, becase then we feel we are separated from them. When we are completely connected with our beings, we start to realize that rhose unconciouss people are not separated fron ourselves, that we are expressions of the same consciousness, the same source, and therefore we realize that they are just a reflection of our state of consciousness as a species. That understanding changes how we relate to them and how we try to solve the problems. If we try to solve the problems externally because we cannot be at peace with the situation as it is, we are looking for our salvation externally, and that is an endeavor doomed to failure, because the only place we can find completion and true peace and joy is within ourselves. If we just change the external, the reflection of our unhealed parts will soon reappear in another form. When we heal first, then we proceed to change the external from a place of detachment and absence of mental labelling. We are already at peace, and we are just sharing that peace, we are not trying to change things externally to attain it. We can then love the world exactly as it is in this moment, and give the best of ourselves to heal it with profound compassion and undestanding. Is like when we assist a sick child; we already love her, even before she heals. Our love is inconditional. And then we can serve others more wisely; specially those who are deeply unconciouss, who are the one that need more love and compassion. That, of course, does not mean allowing them to keep doing unconciouss actions. It means, however, engaging with them in a loving way. Is like if you encounter a mad dog. You don't need to judge it or hate it or blame it to take the sebsible actions to protect yourself, and you can do so being loving and compassionate of the dog, understanding it is sick and needs help. Most of the problems we are facing as a species arise because of our unconciousness. If everyone were connected with their deeper beings, the mayority of those problems will easily dissappear. Therefore, if we try to help the world at the deepest level, we can do so by helping it increase its level of conciousness. And the best way we can do so is by raising our own consciousness, which will then touch others and inspires other, as for examples Eckhart's consciousness inspires and helps millions to awaken themselves. Those are millions who will make consciouss and loving choices, who in turn will inspire others, and that will then start a chain of healing for the whole world.

@@davidgonzalezcaminosdeconc9143 you explained very well, thank you for taking the time and effort to do so. I am happy that my understanding of Eckhart's teaching is growing every time I listen to him and now that I am reading his books. What you explained I indeed consider as the central part. But in practical situations I'm still not sure what to do. I guess my presence is not yet "presence" enough to assess the deep wisdom. But hopefully that will grow. Another "issue" is that I am looking for an answer to why the animals have to suffer and how to deal with the deep sadness about that. Eckhart explained the use of suffering by humanity for the universe to become awake .. conscious and that it is caused by their being disconnected from life itself, but that does not apply to animals. It seems so unfair that they should suffer because of unconscious humans. And that is what makes the sadness so much worse, the not understanding why and they being so innocent. I hope Eckhart will talk about that sometime. As far as the sadness is concerned..I guess there is no "solution" or "easy way out" but just to accept the sadness and feel it as it is. To me it is part of my pain body and knowing that hopefully will help me not adding to it.

Ok, In this video he litteraly said that if you awaken "everything about you is in a high frequency" and you become a teacher naturally, or teach group, gives talk, wright books basicaly the "goal" is to do exactly what he does. But how is the world suppose to function if everyone become a teacher and does the same job ? So in order to do what he do, he needs people who are unconscious. Become the saviors, but if anyone knows the Karpmann triangle, the "savior" is like the basic trap of ego games. In order to be a savior you need victims, and persecuter. I think that all of this is kind of a scam, making money with all of that, he use all the marketing techniques. And according to the course if you're awakening you're becoming a teacher of god ? So he says that according to the concepts in the book you are a "teacher of god". Is it just me that find it nonsens because it is a concept and he tells us how to break free from conceptual reality ?

Yeah I'm not sure if he's deceiving himself or just others, but for sure he is constantly using conceptual frameworks himself. Human relationships are conceptual frameworks. He doesn't want to be truly free of all concepts. It can be very useful to become more aware of our concepts and assumptions, so that we may choose them more wisely, but there is no human life without concepts. It's just silly talk.

I got up and told some stories about my bald eagle. People were laughing and enjoying it and I felt great, with an inflated sense of self. In the next instance people were booing and yelling at me that I was horrible and they started throwing things at me and then I felt deflated. I wondered what this was all about. In the next instant, everything was gone and a voice, neither male nor female that came neither from within or externally said "Have no opinion, hold no judgement. Therein lies freedom" and I felt total peace as if I remembered something I had forgotten. The flash of clarity I had in the dream, if I were to use words was that whether I was "loved and approved of" or "hated and reviled" was the same thing and it mattered not at all to "I AM" awareness.
