www.premierguit... While on tour, Martin Sexton stopped into Premier Guitar headquarters to talk with Jason Shadrick about Led Zeppelin, altered tunings, and his bare bones approach to gear.

I'm not sure if Martin is uninterested in being uber famous or not, but I sure wish pop culture would worship people like him...someone with a message about beauty and connectedness and passion. What a brilliant light and superb talent. So inspiring on multitudes of levels.

Martin is such a rare talent. i remember seeing him busking in Boston in the early 90s, he was just as impressive then.

Thank you, Premier Guitar!!!!!!!! I've been a fan of Martin for years, and he's one of those singers that makes you giddy when you hear him, plus, like a totally awesome guitarist at the same time. I'm giddy over here. Thanks for this.

Friggin interviewer is a robot. This music is so unbelievable moving and he's just like, "thanks". Pearls before swine.

Greetings dullard. Listen to his questions. Listen how Martin answers. He digs him, and we have these performances as a result. Find some other problem to solve please.

On his "Live Wide Open" album with drummer Joe Bonadio, the song "Beast in Me" where his technique shines and soars. Excellent live album. One of the best musicians that I've ever seen perform live.

Brilliant, combination music and sense of humor with a point. Like the pick use the fingers instead remarks, on target. Down to Earth, thoughtful, great interview. Really creative.....not gimmicky just genius!

Who's the freaking statue beside Martin. If this guy represents Premier Guitar he doesn't cell in his body that appreciates true talent and music. I believe if I were sitting next to one of the most creative, talented guys out there I would react in some way. Jeez.

That's a little mean I think. He's probably just a quiet guy...like me. He clearly loves and respects Marty, in my opinion. I'd be devastated if I was him and read your comment.
@fretgoodampsllc23827 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I mean the dude's playing and singing so amazingly and emitting such joy in such a stale setting. And the interviewer just sits there straight faced. I think if he's gonna be interviewing people and having them perform he could smile or groove a bit and show some emotion. Martin's performing for a few cameras, and one person, who is a statue.

First two CD's I owned' was Martin Sexton's. Dumb idiot I was didn't even know he was my age back in '98 when someone asked me to set up the lights in a crappy little theater for him. Bought the CD's during the intermission. Didn't even have a CD player. Music pulled me out of the rock I was dug under.
