My advice for all the beginners don't waste your time on practice the hard moves, take ur time for training on flexibility and hand stand, flexibility flexibility flexibility flexibility is the key, when u ll be able to apen your legs everything going to be too much easy on breakdance

Amazing ... how this style of dancing has progressed blows me away. Use to breakdance in the early 80's, we did a bit footwork, a few backspins and probably top-off with a windmill. These days you guys/gals are amazing.

@Black Swan55 handstands help along with holding a elbow stand against a wall so you can have that leverage if you need it. Just keep doing them and they will become easier as time progresses. Maybe just do one when you walk into your room every time and hold until a few seconds from failure
I do B-boying in the 80's ...mostly belong to level 1 and 2 only. So much improvement on power moves. Last time, we call it flair and head spin are the most difficult move to master.

Level 1 should include some basic popping and locking which is great for transitioning from one move to the next.
@notschubsen2 жыл бұрын
popping is a streetstyle standig for its own. it can be combined with toprocks in Breakdance but its exactly not a part of it
@CheesecakesFL2 жыл бұрын
That is not breaking. Popping is a completely different style. I guess this is idea is a result of the media combining popping into "breakdancing" which in reality breakdancing is called breaking seperate from popping. Both stem from hip hop culture but popping actually stems from hip hop and the electric boogaloo around the time when funk and disco was poppular in the 60s.
@SoCalFreelance2 жыл бұрын
@@CheesecakesFL WRONG! I grew up in the 80's, I know what breakdancing is. I have a beakdancing book from the 80's where popping n locking moves are included. Look at any breakdancing competition video on KZbin, what do you see???
@CheesecakesFL2 жыл бұрын
@@SoCalFreelance umm ok your 100 percent wrong. Because I'm a bboy, and breaker and this is what I was told by the ogs of the breaking game and dance community. I even trained with bboy puzzles, roxrite and el Nino, and Mr wiggles (who is generally a popper, but has alot of knowledge for uprocking). personally I learned so much from them. So I think I know my shit. Breaking is breakdancing, and popping stems from the boogaloo dance. You can say you lived the 80s and still not know anything about breaking especially if you don't break. Go educate yourself there's free KZbin videos made by OGs of the breaking scene and they will all say the same thing.
@CheesecakesFL2 жыл бұрын
@@SoCalFreelance and that book was made by uneducated individuals who just picked the most significant dances around that time and mended them together calling them "breakdanceing" I bet even krumping is in there smh... as a bboy we prefer to keep things seperate from popping and krumping. Side info : back in the day krumpers and bboys would have so much beef.
