If they call you a wuss or chicken or try to get under your skin. Just because they are the only social circle you have at this time, doesn't make whatever consequence you may have to endure worth it, fitting in doesn't mean happiness, please don't force yourself to do anything you don't want to, even though it may not be easy. I hope your friend are actually cool and don't actually do anything like this, and if they do, try to confide in the ones who don't force you into anything you don't want. Fitting in seems like the only way to give life any meaning, and mentally, loneliness equals death. Really people look for the approval of others because they don't approve of themselves, and seeking praise, no matter what form of praise it is, can seem more important than anything, and worth risking your health and well being over, because if they like what you are doing, that means you are "desirable" and "cool". I want friends, i really do, and i have none. I plan to make freidns someday, but sacrificing my own self worth for another person just to feel noticed isn't worth it. These are all hypothetical and by no means do i imply they apply to you, if they don't that's good. But if they do i hope things get better and you can find a way to meet people or stick to the friends that don't pressure you or whatever. Sorry for all the hypothetical stuff. I hope you are well.

Finding this video whilst being actively comitted to my own weight loss journey really does highlight the struggles I have with temptation. I'm not one to be mushy in a KZbin comment aimed at strangers but this matters to me for once. Losing weight is a constant struggle to get over food addiction. You will give in to temptation once or twice but that is not faliure because nobody is perfect. I've cheated more than once but I haven't gained a single pound in five weeks and have nearly lost two stone. You can do it. You don't need me to believe in you because you only need to believe in yourself. If you slip up then don't stay down, get back up and make yourself proud. It'll be worth it

As someone who has struggled with this in the past, this video actually hits pretty hard. Being fat and having a food "addiction" really is like have a voice in your head saying "You don't want those veggies, how about a nice tasty burrito. It won't hurt. You can always just eat the salad tomorrow." Then you realize 5 days have passed and the salad you bought has now wilted in your fridge. It seems like the more your try, the weaker and fatter you become. Every meal becomes a guilt trip and your self confidence falls through you fingers like flowing water when you realize you were too weak to stop yourself. As a recommendation to anyone who has experienced this, talk to someone. Get support. The first two weeks are the most brutal, but that voice wanting food does eventually start to quiet down.

Something I like about this is how he mentions starting tomorrow after making his first mistake, a simple one at that. While he has the right principle in mind, what it's really about is trying well at each situation, and even if you fail, it's much better to continue attempting through out the day than to keel over and repeat yesterday's mistakes. Consistency and the ability to forgive yourself and continue forward are the things that will really get you where you want.
