Great interview. Madonna being very honest and relaxed. 4:39 a reminder of the days when MTV presenters were picked for their hair and teeth, and talked absolute nonsense 😂

João Vitor she had no potential in acting. Glad she figured it out early on.

@@mirandapillsbury7885 I think she could have been okay but she had a few strikes against her. 1. She became so famous that it’s hard to see her as the character in the movie, you just see Madonna. Very few famous people who try acting can do this successfully. Cher would be one, but even there, you still pretty much see Cher, not her character. 2. Her speaking voice isn’t well suited for acting. It’s slightly high and childlike and she had a strong New York accent (later a slightly British one when she lived there with Guy Richie). Again, that doesn’t help in trying to establish a character, and if you have a distinctive voice, you tend to get typecast. 3. She had a successful career and dabbled in too many arenas. If she only focused on acting, she would have gotten better and trained harder at it. If she never had a singing career, she probably would have had to pay her dues instead of getting roles quickly when she didn’t have the experience yet. 4. The critics wanted to hate her, and rarely gave her a chance. Once they smelled weakness after Shanghai Surprise, they never really credited her when she did do well. If she wasn’t ‘Madonna’ she probably would have gotten a nomination for Evita but the establishment snubbed her. She was also good in Dick Tracy and could have been nominated as a supporting actress, since Pacino was nominated for the same film. So part of the reason she was never a ‘great’ actress was her own fault for trying to do too many things without the experience and training, and part of it was that she rarely got offered good parts and was sneered at by the press and the Hollywood elite.

Oh, what a surprise. A woman being asked if she wants to have kids with her partner that she has been with for 2 minutes. Good in her for not answering.
