This is really a great movie. I mean this is one of those movies which you just cannot review. Absolutely edge of the seat thriller where even small events are so superbly depicted that you are compelled to pay attention. And its like one continuous so all of them are perfectly connected. I just could not take my eyes off the screen and its 2 hrs long. And the technical values are so great . Right from the set to the costume design, give you a very immersive experience. Like you are in the action. So does the cinematography using the close shots gives you the reaction of every character . And the acting is so top notch. Sandler plays the character constantly on the edge and he brilliantly supported by rest of the cast. Like all of them feel so genuine and real. Everybody from Julia Fox to Lakeith Stanfield to Kevin Garnett to Wayne Diamond playing the eccentric helicopter pilot. I mean they are so eccentric but feel so real. Take a bow Adam and the rest of cast and crew. Uncut gems is really a gem. I give this an 8. This ought to have been nominated for Best Picture, Best Screen and probably Director. Not so sure about Sandler but this is great effort from the cast in entirety. Academy for ignoring this is very disappointing.

Christy said Adam Sandler is far better here than when he is playing a overgrown dufus kid on a vacation with Rob Schneider or whoever. Well that is true and perfectly put. Most Adam Sandler films are like that. A vacation where just for 2 hours you can shut off the complexities and sorrows of the world.

Ben would definitely be a welcomed addition on this one if not to flesh out the elements Matt & co. found somewhat perplexed by, Ben would certainly add a little journalistic integrity about the People Republic and their decades long crusade to gut Sub-Sahara of it natural resources metals, mineral, land etc. NY Times has even reported that the African subcontinent could be a sort surrogate nation for the Chinese, if and when climate change coupled with overpopulation and pollution reach their tipping point. I don't believe this is that movie, but I do wonder if the screen writers feel the need to include issue of ethics in the scrip? What with Blood diamonds being a thing and what not
