I have to give Monique credit for talking to them like she did because they were really talking to her stupid. If it's all our struggle it's Monique's not just her applying it to her own situation like LENARD said. Why would you not put some worth on yourself instead of saying you arent worth it and someone else is when you know your resume you feel you're as worthy as the other person. I would have just told them to kiss my AZZ , especially "LENARD." He was acting like he had to pay her salary ☹️

Monique is a prime example of know your worth and don't let nobody tell you otherwise. She's elegant and full of class, and quite frankly she didn't even need to come on the breakfast club and talk about her worth or "justifying" why she values herself in that regard as Charlemagne kept asking. Mo', we heard u loud & clear; my Mama raised me right & I saw what she had to go through here in an African community as her 1st son. We love u. Len-whatever gave u a fake hug to try to disarm u or throw the audience off guard & he has no clue he's in a position to influence opinions, it comes with responsibility, he just on gossip radio let's call it what it is, arguing like a bitch. Essence Rodriguez she actually said names as far as I heard. Mo’nique don’t give all the truth either. She wants to be right so bad that she’s burning up that seat she was sitting in because of Charlemagne. I agreed with him. From a numbers standpoint justify why you should get what the “legends” are getting? The word legend is as about as weak as having a Oscar nowadays because it doesn’t sell tickets. I agree with her that their is a financial disparity with women of color. No one disputes that, but we’re talking about Mo’nique and not the color of her skin. She’s trying to make a racial case for why she was offered so little and not a bankability case.

That people are still asking Eddie about doing it 30 years later. Who the hell was asking Monique? People actively WANT Eddie to come back. Just because Monique has the title "legend" doesn't mean people want to see her as much as others. Before this controversy, who the hell here honestly was like, "You know what would be CRAZY!? If Monique got on stage again! OMG EVERYONE would watch that!" The answer is nobody.
@terri15955 жыл бұрын
Nate River not the point I’m making lol. In this interview, that I’m not even sure you watched or else you wouldn’t have commented, Charla said “this is a what have you done for me LATELY business. What has Eddie done for us lately? I love Eddie and you better believe I’m watching this special. I just want people to understand that Moniques stance is valid and thousands of black women face the same discrimination daily. This is hypocrisy. That’s all.

And where is she today.. and CTG? That was a low blow by her.. because his platform can not go against what he plans to do for Netflix in the future.. I saw that a mile away. Until black folks have anything and everything gear towards them.. this will continue. However, that may not even happen in this time.. the way this world is turning into. So ungodly like folks.. worshiping all kinds of gods except TMH and actually reading and breaking down THE TRUE word in the closest translation and not this sugar coated version folks have been fed with.. Good day everyone.

Usually, when you are speaking up for yourself whether in business, personal, etc. Most likely, you are almost always going to be deemed the problem! There are people who are complacent, and then there are people who will speak up; no matter what.

Guess you've never seen Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith in action then. They have tremendous teamwork both as a couple and parents. And, they have the status and bank account to prove it.

Um I beg to differ. They were looking for comparable pay to comics doing comedy specials. When has Monique sold out a solo comedy special? When has Monique headlined a comedy movie? Her defense were her roles that were part of ensemble casts in dramatic roles. Not the same.
