"You have to redefine your definition of happy. Because if you don't redefine your definition of happy, you will thirst for what was and miss what is. Whether your definition of happy was somebody who isn't there anymore or something that you don't do anymore. If you don't redefine it, your heart will ache for stuff that left." GOD has used this man to speak life into so many people who come from abusive backgrounds. There is not a lot of ministers who speak on abuse for some reason they stay away from that subject but T.D Jakes is not scared to speak on it at all. He is the first pastor I ever heard speak on low self esteem which I use to suffer from it truly helped me GOD healed me from low self esteem and now I help others. GOD is so amazing!!!!

I give TD his props.....This man is gifted....You don’t have to be a Christian to see that he has a message for all walks of life!!!!
@veriteetfeu7 жыл бұрын
The thing is though is that message is supposed to be the Gospel of Jesus Christ. That is a message that God makes available to people from all walks of life that they might repent and be saved. After all "For God so loved the WORLD that He sent His only begotten Son that WHOEVER believes on Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). But, sadly, not everyone is expected to accept this message.In fact, MOST people aren't expected to accept the Gospel. So if TD has a message for EVERYONE that MOST seem to enjoy and accept, as a pastor, it means he's NOT doing his job. He's NOT sharing the Gospel. So woe to him! “Woe to you, when all people speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets." (Luke 6:26).

Ebony C I like what he said, he had a business mind before he was a pastor. He came from his parent who were business minded. Just because you become a pastor doesn't mean that you stop using the gifts you were given. From what I've researched, he's not even the on the church's payroll anymore because of how much he makes outside with books, speaking engagments, movies, plays, and other endevers.

"Redefine your definition of happy" This just brought tears to my eyes!! As a widowed mother, I am struggling with the loss of my husband and the grief that followed (missing him so very much). I am so sorry, for your loss!!! I can't say that I fully understand what you are feeling but I am in a similar place as I lost my baby a few months ago at 7.5 months as a still born. No, I didn't know him outside of my body but I still ache for him. But Be Encouraged!!! Stay in community with people you love and who love you. Please don't try to do this all on your own. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! Find what you are passionate about and ask your loved ones and closest friends what they think you would be doing, not for money or as a hobby? See what the common themes are. I did this today and found my people said some of the same things. My job is to connect the dots and find how I can use this information to find my purpose. Find your purpose and you will find your happiness!!!

God is real and God is love. What we call life is just an illusion an a test to see who truly loves God and how much. Anyone who truly knows and loves God will keep God first, love their neighbors as themselves, keep Gods 10 commandments, and do their best not to sin. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. This is why God sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the sins of the world so that those who believe in Him and do their best to live a life that's pleasing to Him will not perish but have everlasting life. The Bible is the truth and this world is a lie. It rejects God because it's ruled by satan but God is always in control. God allowed satan and his demons to test my faith with a demonic attack after I warned my brothers about luciferians and the illuminati. God used demons to teach me a lesson about patience, holding my peace, and trusting Him no matter what. We can't truly love God unless we trust Him. God also opened up my third eye and showed me the spiritual warfare that is going on right now. demons are evil spirits that work thru all people tempting us to sin and trying to win souls because it hurts God. God gives us freewill to love Him or the world and the things in it that He created. Our relationship with God is the only thing that matters. God wants us to always put Him first and always pray. Heaven and hell exist and the things we say and do in this lifetime will testify for us or against us and determine where we spend eternity. God is love and love is the fulfillment of Gods law. Love The Creator above all creations life is a test its our responsibility to help each other pass. God expects everyone who knows the truth to tell everyone who doesn't. Freedom is free and Jesus Christ is the key. Always remember that God is love and love conquers all+++

celticeagle1000 pull far away from your religion, that is man made, God didn't make religion he only has commandants for his people to do.

celticeagle1000 Jesus was distant from religion too so you're in good company lol

I was gonna be distant from religion till a I had talk with a former pastor, which I learned that if you look up the ankh that's the REAL cross our current "cross" means death and when we die we get reincarnated until we learn a lesson and receive the right info etc. Then the pearly gates will open

And the pictures of Jesus and the whole thing is man made cuz nobody knows what God looks like they just put a photo and said bam that is your God

Say what you want about Bishop Jakes, but he just dropped bombs in this interview

The only reason why people are going to say negative things about him is not because he did something personally wrong to them.. only because a lot of people had a negative experience in the black church .. not all pastors are like the ones that hurt you. Don't let the devil blind you.

Or their just haters focusing on negative shit, bringing people down and not focusing on bringing their damn selves up

All I am going to say is that I am not going to argue with anyone back and forth. I enjoyed his message and he has helped a lot of people. I said what I said *neneleaksvoice and thats it. I am a high school teacher and my students are on there way in my classroom. I am not going to sit on here and argue in the comment section lol. The bible warns us of arguing with people back and forth that do not have a heart to receive. Have a blessed day everyone. Remember one positive thought can change the outcome of your day.

"Start where you are and build from there" it's so simple, but it's powerful! I prolong my success trying to wait on what I'll be able to afford, who I'll be able to meet, when I'll be in the right position in order to propel me forward but this statement just shows that by waiting for the right time you'll miss your opportunity. 🙌🏿Bishop always comes through with words of wisdom
