As an atheist, I know people in this camp have done more than their share to alienate Christians. Everyone needs to learn how to heal all of these divides instead of splitting into factions, getting triggered and mocking or silencing those they disagree with or those they perceive as being ignorant. But you are generally right, politics is not our friend in this regard.

Three years ago, I was broken, hopeless and contemplating suicide: I had come to believe that my future and value was how people defined me. I learned from Bishop Jakes' sermons that I had the same value and potential as everyone else, that "chocolate" (not being white) is a beautiful color, that God loves everyone regardless of color. Now, I wake up every day with joy in my heart, not wanting life to stop. I do not belong to Pastor Jakes' church but I am so grateful that he brought me back into a relationship with my Creator. Growing up in a home of active addiction, to an early discovery of struggles and hurdles, developing me own addictive coping, to now a single mother of a teenager, and many different forms of treatment programs, the foyer of our suite, is a list highlighted as bright as possible, "Steps To Effective Listening" CBT teaches the patient/student how to contradict our default thinking, its truly eyeopening, you can hear so much more !!! THANK YOU KIND GENTLEMAN!!!! Listening is tragically overlooked, I love the moment where this Amazing Bishop Man speaks of being off put by an assumed criticism of a man simply reaching out for help, with a tone of voice which often get misinterpreted due to triggering emotional value. I need to remind myself to continue to listen through agitated tone s, and stop personalizing

Thank you Tom..I found you through my search during COVID19. I love the brilliance of T.D.Jakes this was such a great podcast. I immediately, for the first time posted this podcast and the name of the book and a clip of what he said about "Tribes" and how it separates us. The part about pollination and the fruit compared to us was awesome.... I will one day look forward to being on your podcast...I speak my manifestations and you are on the list...
